I know, I know...NO GOOD without Pictures!
I got a Cartier 18k white gold Trinity ring while in Atlanta yesterday hanging out in Lenox waiting for my girlfriend to show up. She missed all the good stuff. I tried on all the e-rings they had for fun too.
And at Macy's once a year jewelry event (some famous designer) they walked me outside with the $127,500 Russian Alexandrite & diamond ring on my finger so I could see it do it's color change
. It literally took my breath away and made my heart beat quickly. Back to Cartier though...
There's been so much talk of this Trinity/rolling ring over the past months that it has not gone unnoticed by me. It's a style I've always loved and completely desired after seeing Brooke Shield's on the cover of a magazine with her wonderful baby. I adore the all diamond version and my plan was to see that one in the store that I just happened to find myself in front of (a bit of serendipity). Imagine my surprise.
The salesman was so courteous and polite showing me anything I wanted though I kept it to the Trinity rings at first. I recently suggested to DH that for our 10th anniversary I'd love to have the diamond one. After trying on the different styles I realized I prefer the Trinity 1, with the pave band but don't love the tri color. I liked the all white 3 diamond band but not as much as the pave band, if only they could combine the two then it would be perfect for me.
Patiently the man showed me everything and finally decided it was time to figure out exactly what size I would need (52) saying that the rings should comfortably roll on and off. They should not be so loose that they push on without the roll or so snug that they barely roll. As I was thanking him he to leave he said "we still have a few of the all white 18k plain Trinity rings which have been retired." He pulls the one from the case and slips on my finger. Wouldn't you know it was PERFECT. He seemed totally surprised when I said I'd take it! (causual dress, in bad need of a cut & color but I did have my trusty LV bag)
OMG, it fits like you would not believe, divine, amazingly incredibly comfortable. It has the most delicate engraving that says Cartier, naturally.
A couple weeks ago I purchased online a rolling ring that was super cheap made of stainless steal, (remember my job) to try out. I needed to see if there was any point in day-dreaming about the thing since I had no idea if I'd find it comfortable or appealing. I did like it, but I have to say that it's no Cartier.
I swear I'll get pics up soon.
