So while we were on vacation last week, Kris and I wandered into Bailey Banks and Biddle in the mall (I know--it''s a maul store, but not as bad as most) and did a little bit of nosing around, which was REALLY fun. They didn''t have anything I was too interested in, but I did try on a 2 ct. stone, which probably made Kris very nervous (Me: I could totally rock 2 carats! Kris: *blanches*). It was the first time we''ve really gone together and tried anything on, so it was exciting for me. Hopefully just the first of many excursions to try on sparklies!

Also, a funny anecdote: I have a friend who is studying in the US right now but is from jewelry. Yesterday I asked her what her favorite English word is and she said "jewelry". I was like, "Me too, friend, me too."

OMG GERMANY. Studying from GERMANY. Wow. Can you tell what was on my mind? Also, in my defense, Germany and jewelry are very similar words.

hehehehehe Germany, jewelery yup I can see the similarity.

I totally agree on the 2ct thing

after trying on rings from 1ct-7.47ct''s (the larger ones for fun :P) that size was just the right amount of gianomus on my finger

(though my finger could comfortably rock 4cts as well :P), unfortunately in the specs I wanted too much for our budget though but I still *puffy heart with all my heart* the one I am getting :D and I think it will be plenty big :).

Ladypirate your shopping trip sounds like it was great fun - here''s to many more!

Woo hoo! Rockin'' the 2 carats! :) Love it. Glad you had fun trying stuff on! Hope you have many more of those :)

Hey LP I just went blingy shopping with TBerube this past weekend! We had a BLAST!!!

I got to see my coveted asscher cut up close and personal (

) and got to try on a setting similar to my dream ring to confirm that it does indeed look simply perfect on my hand.

We're trying to arrange an entire weekend in Boston just going on a jewlery store tour.

So much FUN!!!!

Lady, glad you had a good time trying on rings!! BB&B has a good selection, it''s a great place to get an idea of what you like!

Keeping, I''m glad you and T got to try on a few things as well! Did you go in the city? If you ever want to try on several asschers, Shreve Crump & Low has a large selection. They carry a bunch of Daniel K''s (including the asscher eternity band. Yum.) and some of their own settings. Last time I was there they let me try on a 8 or 10 carat (I can''t remember) antique asscher. I said "How come you didn''t show D this when he was buying my ring??"
