So I went wedding band shopping yesterday and stopped by a large local jewelry store that stocks all kinds of fancy things including... a 16 carat fancy yellow diamond ring! I asked the guy who helped me if I could see the largest diamond they had in the store (it was worth a try!) and lo and behold, he actually went to the back (special vault) and came back with a HUGE 16-carat fancy yellow diamond ring and let me try it on!!

It was absolutely gorgeous, although way too big for my finger(sz 4) and not my style at all. I took a look at the price tag attached and it said it was almost $800K!! It was truly a strange feeling wearing a ring that cost almost a mil.

The ring looked like this:Fancy Yellow Diamond Ring

Does anyone else have stories of trying on rings that cost way more than you could ever afford?

I tried on a Tiffany Novo that cost more than my house. Heh.

I love trying on the expensive rings :) my favorite one costs about the same if not a little less then my house in it's currently unrenovated state :)

This one from hardy brothers I did not even ask to try on but they were like here have a play 7.57ct sq emerald cut with pink diamonds I personally thought the ring was a little overdone and the beauty of that massive stone was lost still I would not say no :P. It can be yours for 750k

And this one was one of my all time favourties it was sold

I was thinking the same thing when I was wearing the ring. "One day this will be mine!" Unrealistic dream, since I don''t think I would ever spend that much money on a ring. However, a house... now that''s the ticket! I love house window shopping on realtor websites.
