Tsavorite halo?

So, I got some yummy tsavs from Jeff Davies a few days ago. ( At least i find them yummy. these are my first and only tsavs, so what do i know!) Was originally going to make a stacker, but there are 25 stones and I wondered if I should use them to halo one of my CS. What do you think of this combo? My gut tells me an emerald, cushion, or other more elongated shape would look better as the center stone... But is the color combo too costumey?

8mm Raspberry rhodolite (not as dark as it looks here... Took all these pics at 8pm, blargh) with 2mm tsavs. Any feedback or ideas are appreciated! and sorry for the sloppy stone placement. Working with limited supplies here, lol.

I was also considering swapping the rhodolite out for an amethyst, as purple and green is a pretty combo.

I've seen green on green halos too. Leon Mege likes to play with color. I think I've seen orange and pink with green from him.

I personally think pink and green is a great combo. I just did a stack ring set with a tsav and a hot pink mahenge, and I love the way they look together. So I like your idea, sounds fun!

I like that combination a lot! Would never have thought of it myself. It's fresh, eye-catching, & neither overshadows the other. I'd like to see a pic of the tsavs with your ammy, just for the heck of it. Nice bundle of tsavorites, btw.

If I can be honest, I think a colored stone halo would be a tad costumey, unless you were to halo a white stone maybe. I think I would rather use them for some sort of ring or a DBTY necklace or bracelet.

I bought some little tsavs like yours a while ago from Jeff, and I am very pleased with them. Even though they are small, they pack a huge wallop of slightly bluish green and they are well cut. I can only imagine that yours must be sparkly and intensely colored too.

Someone else here got some of his tsavs a while ago and they were so lovely that I had to get some too!

All are Leons...I think it can be done, you just have to be careful about it.
