Turquoise earrings

Omg your cabs are amazing!!!!! That colour is just stunning!!!!

Thanks @Daisys and Diamonds @smitcompton @mellowyellowgirl !
These cabs are really bright blue, and they will be good for everyday.

My earlobes are not very robust anymore and they cannot support heavy earrings. It's weird how they have gotten thinner in the last few years. Earrings always pitch forward on me now, so frustrating! And I need jumbo backs on almost everything.

So I refrained from adding additional detailing to them, so they wouldn't get too heavy.

These are some new turquoise stones that I will be working with soon. The matched cabs I used are there on the bottom.

what's the green one ?

That one is called Sonoran Gold turquoise.
It's mined in northern Mexico, just south of the US border.
The green is divine! I bought a small piece, just to try it out. I think I'll get a bigger piece next time!

I love these!

They look great on you.

love the setting!

Yay, a reveal!! These are beautiful cabs and I was hoping to see the final result with them. Your abilities are so amazing to me---I'm still daunted by soldering!

Is Kingman turquoise typically this color? It looks like Sleeping Beauty to me, would you say that's accurate?

Love the color of the turquois and the settings are perfect!

Thank you @Mreader @Neptune @Eli22 @Catmom @mustangchi !
I loved the color! You can see them from across the room!

@Cinders
These stones are from the Mineral Park mine near Kingman AZ. Kingman turquoise is from a group of mines, which produce a variety of bright blues.
Sleeping Beauty is from Globe, AZ., just east of Phoenix.
I'm trying to educate myself about turquoise, but it is a very involved and complex topic!
There is so much to know about this beautiful blue stone.
Here is some good information about Kingman turquoise.

Your new earrings look stunning on! The color of that turquoise is so good. I think the simple setting shows the cabs off superbly. How satisfying to go from show to bench to ear like that! So envious!

Thank you! The color is so pretty.
There were about 50 stones in the tray, all ovals, but the colors and shapes varied slightly. It was fun to choose the stones, take them home, and come up with earrings the next day. It is very satisfying.
And these were such simple earrings. The color is so strong, I felt they didn't need more details.

I'm looking forward to working with the other stones, as well.

These are fantastic! <3

They're so clean, blue, and well-saturated for kingman! I love that you kept them simple. What a pop of bright turq next to the face can do for the complexion. Lovely!!
