I need to vent. I'm looking for tuxedos for my wedding and every single frickin' picture has the men standing around with OPEN jackets so you can't even see the tux! How can you tell what makes each tux distinctive if they don't even button them up? Is this how men in other weddings wear their tuxes? Not mine!!!

It's about as bad as bridal photographers photographing wedding dresses with a white background! GRR!!

NB: you should never button the bottom button on a tux.... but I agree the other buttons should be done up!

One thing to consider is that suit styles look radically different on different body types, just like dresses do, so this is really something you should be having people try on in person, not just look at online. Best bet might be just to take a shopping trip with your FI!

I''d say go look at the stores too. That way you can see it buttoned AND unbuttoned if you choose :) I know a-lot of guys will unbutton it after the ceremony and all the formal pictures have been taken, but when you''re choosing a style you definitely need pictures of it closed! I found the tux I want the guys to wear at the same place I''m getting my dress from. They just happened to have this tux set up that would have made us look like a million bucks! I mean it went with the dress I''m getting so perfectly you''d have to be nuts not to go with it... Unfortunately FI is nuts and refuses to wear it because it''s not black, it''s espresso. Blah. But I digress. Definitely go check them out in the stores and see how they fit your FI and look on him. Good luck!
