Two white gold settings, one with a quartz stone set. Total weight 10.27g (!!!)
The antique-y one is probably 1930-1940 and is open at the top, perfect for having a jeweller mount a prong bridge, or you could choose a rectangular or moval stone set along that space. The contemporary solitaire is just stunning in its heavy simplicity. It will hold an 11mm stone easily.
Asking scrap value, $125 plus shipping.

Do you think the solitaire could hold an 8.7 mm round?

Hi Nala. The stone it currently holds is almost 10mm. If you have a jeweler who is creative, they might be able to make it work, but it would cost more than simple stone-setting. I wish I could make guarantees but I don’t know if it would work. If you took a chance and the jeweler said ‘no dice’ you could always resell it!
