Jewelry (and diamonds) from Daniel M of etsy fame, and gems by Barry Bridgestock of Artistic Colored Stones!

This is my new Barry spinel, Varna inspired setting in silver, size 6, 2 mm band w/ 2mm diamonds on each side of the center stone. I refer to this stone as the "Thunderstorm spinel" because it reminds me of the color of the sky during a thunderstorm, which we get a lot here in NM during the summer.

And my new Barry Aqua that will be set in a filigree basket in 14kt yg from Daniel M to go with a 14kt yg Italian (handmade?) chain that originally belonged to my mom. That may take a while to save the funds though! I've been working with silver so much lately that the prospect of gold is SCARY! Oh and the Aqua is 6.61cts I believe...

You really really really are not joking. I've been collecting all of these amazing stones for a long time now and THEY NEED SETTING. So yeah, I've been bugging poor Caren a LOT. A LOT A LOT. And I just found out I got a raise, so guess where all of my raise money is going? Dan/Caren & Barry.

Thank you everyone! I'm so excited about these projects.

I am not ordinarily a yellow gold girl AT ALL, so the aqua is a stretch for me. I was originally going to go for a yellow stone...then I asked Barry about this aqua, and inquired if he had any rough for an aqua asscher and then just went for the emerald since the only one I have is a tiny (1+ct) mint tourmaline emerald. I was kind of worried that the yellow gold would wash out the aqua, but I think they look amazing together. The only color I would really pair with yellow is blue, so I just went for it.

I really want this one to be an heirloom and kind of old world feeling. Should be a while before I get it set, unfortunately!

Yes it is!

I have absolutely no complaints (as you can see by how many purchases I've made from them!). As far as turnaround, before their bambino, it was 2 weeks, and now that has lengthened to a month, which I'm still fine with.

Etsy has temporarily done away with the alchemy function, so that is why there are all of the gray boxes--which sucks! I loved watching the progression as they would complete projects--going from no picture to bling!

Cast. I had the task of finding better pictures of it than the main one of Varna's to figure out how they managed to prong the baby diamonds...I don't know if Dan found it fun, but I LOVE the end result!

Congrats on the raise! I know exactly how you feel. My manager just told me about my incoming bonus money for 2010, and she said "more money for diamonds!" - she and I both share a strong addiction to jewelry.
