Two of my RHR's

I've taken to keeping my jewelry over at the bank, but when I was returning some baubles I wore over the holidays I grabbed two RHR's to share with you guys.
The emerald was purchased when I got my first big promotion in 1989 - a lifetime ago! Later I realized the setting was pretty awful and my local B&M had a setting that accommodated the stone, which is understandably sentimental, even if it's not the BEST emerald.

The sapphire was found at a second hand store in MI; it's got quite a window, but I loved the color and thought it was probably worth the price just for the platinum setting.

Thank you, Missy! Elle - the color is what attracted me; I never even noticed the window in it until much later. TY for your kind words, Junebug. I appreciate that, Dandi. I grew to dislike the emerald’s original setting and tried to sell it to my B&M who sold estate pieces; he made a face like it was so beneath him when he said no (despite there being a big range of quality in his offerings. I think he said “I’ll give you $50,” jerk.) - SO glad I reset it!
