So just a teaser photo, hopefully tomorrow I can rustle up some sunlight so I can get a picture that isn't so... orange!
The opal is a reset of an old setting I had, cut by Michael E. It's shows a lot of color and is pretty transluscent. I got a compliment on it not 30 minutes after putting it on!
The sphene I bought from exportgems on ebay and had it set in sterling silver by Daniel M. The color is a fairly bright yellow going honey colored in certain lights, and it sparkles exactly like I thought it would and the tiny window it had was closed right up by the setting.
I love them both and can't stop doing the "QVC wave" to watch their colors shift.
My photo (which does neither stone justice), followed by the vendor photos.
Michael's picture of the opal
Caren's picture of the sphene, none of these pictures do it justice, I'm going to have to do the lightbox trick
