Last year surpassed all of my blingiest dreams.

This year was supposed to be more low key. But how's that saying go-'If you go looking for trouble, you will find it?' Well, I am ALWAYS looking. When this five stone ring and foliate ring popped up-two rings that were on my wish list-I couldn't pass them up.

First, the Ruby & OEC ring set in 18 kt gold. The OECs have a total estimated carat weight of .80 and H/I color. It's hard for me capture the true color of the rubies.

Next, up the foliate ring. I have vaguely wanted a large scale foliate ring for some time, but recently it's moved up wish list-probably because I keep seeing @oldcutclubmember 's gorgeous rings! I thought I would have a hard time finding the perfect foliate ring for my short fingers. But when I tried on this ring, I knew I had to have her. Willa (yes, I named her because I can't help myself) is thought to have been made in the 1940's with 1 carat weight in diamonds in 14 kt gold.

A glamour shot of the two of them:

Bonus-the Foliate ring fits both my middle and pointer fingers. So now I also have a power pointer ring!

:wavey:Headed back to Ban Island soon. Meet me there for drink?

I can only afford Happy Hour prices at the moment, but yes, I’d love to see you at the Ban Island Bar.

Those rubies & OEC’s are completely captivating! Is it a new ring set with old stones, or an antique ring?

The foliate ring is perfect on you. I could never get away with one of these rings because I’m simply not very cool, but this was made for your lovely hand & you rock that style!

After I pick my jaw up from the ground, I will come back and write a response. Give me some time please. Just.. just no words right now!

Both of them are stunning! :kiss2: The rubies seriously have my heart!

Beautiful rings! Sometimes you have to strike when you can lest you live in regret for eternity! Great finds - congrats on both!

They are gorgeous and look great on you

Thank you @Ally T !

The age of the five stone is a bit of a mystery to me. I think it's vintage at least-the OECs are well wore-there are some girdle flea bites etc. I don't think it is English-that much I can surmise from the hallmarks or lack thereof. The profile looks antique-y. That's all the info I have...

Willa is a mean beast and looks good on you.

Oh my gosh, both pieces are stunning but that ruby and OEC ring is just to die for!

Stunning pieces! I can’t decide which is more scrumptious!

You have such a wide selection of chonkiness and all of it is beautiful.

@lulu_ma the ruby ring is beautiful but wow, talk about a power pointer! It's well suited for cocktail hour on ban island :evil2:

Wow!!! I love your new rings and they looks stunning together. I have been going hard on ring purchases too, so I’ll be joining you in Ban Island shortly haha!

Gorgeous rings! Love the gallery on hte ruby and diamond band.

You are in luck, I heard Ban Island built a wall and is refusing all new admissions ;)

Wow wow wow! Both gorgeous pieces, but I am in love with that power pointer!!!

Oh my gosh, both pieces are stunning but that ruby and OEC ring is just to die for!
Thanks so much @Catmom . You know I have been looking at oec five stones and also ruby five stones. It's nice to cross two items on the wish list at once:lol:

Stunning pieces! I can’t decide which is more scrumptious!

@Mreader Thank you! I can't really decide either. The five stone is more versatile but Willa is so special...
You have such a wide selection of chonkiness and all of it is beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words @oncrutchesrightnow !
