Ugh... Bad engagement dreams

Haha, I know I've read that others have had these, but I had my first one last night.

It was triggered, I think, because the sapphire I've been eyeing for six months now says that a sale is pending. I've pointed out the website to my boyfriend, and the link is on the top of my bookmarks (not to mention leaving it open when I know he might use my computer). I'm 95% sure that the sale isn't my boyfriend, but you never know....

Anyway, this caused me to have what seems to be a standard LIW dream. I dreamt that he proposed with what was essentially the ugliest mother ring in the world, it had four flat stones all overlapping each other, yellow gold, and gaudy. I pretended I loved it, of course, but by the end of the dream I had talked him into upgrading,

Ugh! Why do our brains do this to us? It took me a good minute after I woke up to remember it wasn't true.

I had a bad dream last night as well! We are getting close to pulling the trigger on having my ring made. Well, in my dream, we went to pick up the ring. It was missing tons of detail (like it had no diamonds on the side of the ring, as it was supposed to). Then, the entire basket holding the diamond was coming loose, only being held on by two prongs. As I was trying it on, the entire basket and diamond came off. So scary! Hahaha...

I have had a dream like that before too. Only in my dream, I love the ring that BF gave me. But as the dream went on, the ring kept changing and was getting uglier and uglier. Eventually in the dream, I told BF that he was going to have to get me something different because the ring was just going to keep getting worse and worse. HAHAHA!

These dreams all of you are having are so funny!

I had a dream about a month ago that SO and I were visiting New York. We were on our way to GOG to look at some august vintages but somewhere along the way we stopped into a shady looking jewellery store. The lady working in the store had convinced SO that they had the most perfect OEC for me, they were sooooooo excited to show me it, but what they were showing me was actually swedish berry!!!!!! Seriously, like the red candy berry! They were both like, isn't it amazing? I was baffled that they couldn't tell it wasn't a diamond. Oh ... we never made it to GOG in my dream either

Ugh... these are terrible! Ive been having dreams more often lately In the last one i dreamt that the ring was made from paper foil and instead of a diamond.... it had a tooth!!

Then I ...uh...bought my own ring

The nightmares were *really* bad: giant blue plastic ring....ugly gold ring that tarnished into brass......pretty ring that had a cracked stone....ugly fake CZ wedding sets.

Realy it was the logical choice

I *really* should have bought this sapphire when I had the chance! Or been less subtle with my boyfriend about how much I liked it. I'm sure the cutter either has or could create something similar when the time comes.

7.5 millimeter diameter, perfect color, heated but no other treatment. Ugh...! I'm certainly not going to let this happen again. I should have jumped on it!

I had a tooth dream too!!! Seriously, a few months back, I even made a post about it. I turned the ring to see a profile shot and the bottom, instead of a nice culet, was the long skinny part of the tooth that goes under the gumline. Ugh! Worst ring dream ever.
