I''m thinking about buying my fiancee an ultrasonic cleaner for Christmas, since she''s obsessed with cleaning her ring. Is it worth the money? Does anyone know if a cheap model, like this one on ebay, works just as well as a more expensive model? Is there anything I need to watch out for (like a model that is going to eat the ring and never give it back!

Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner

Any help is apprectiated!

Hi Arlington.

I recently shopped for ultrasonics myself. I ended up getting a small, battery-operated Connoisseurs on eBay that I love. It's small and cute enough to sit on the countertop all the time. I put my rings in it several times a week (I'm obsessive about cleaning as well). Check out eBay item #2366956251 or #2679242214.

I don't know if any one is better than another. A friend of mine has a really high-end ultrasonic used for cleaning dental equipment. I've used hers, and I think my little Connoisseurs works just as well. Of course, I don't let my ring get all gunked up either.

I just got an ultrasonic cleaner from http://www.jewelrysupply.com/noframes/cleaners.htm (scroll down, the mini one that's on sale for $54.95)

It does wonders!! And I really love it! Plus it's really small..... I think the one on ebay is a little bit bigger.. but I'm sure it works just the same. These cleaners really clean the ring in the cracks, the places you can't reach and your jewlery comes out sparkling like mad.

She'll really like it..
