Hey all (I am so sorry for the bad pun. I couldn't resist... )

So, based on a few dropped hints, not-very-covert questions about my ring size and catching him in-the-act of talking about rings on the phone with his mother (lol he's too cute), I am fairly convinced that my SO just might propose between our 7th anniversary and our getaway trip to San Diego the next week. :twirl: I wouldn't say that I'm overwhelmingly impatient, but I just can't seem to shake thoughts of engagement! It's starting to become so distracting that I can't sleep, I can't work, and I have this incessant feeling of stress and excitement all day long. It's incredibly distracting to have to wait on my suspicions for another 3 weeks, but what can you do?

Well, to add to my distracted state, we're attending a friends' engagement party this Friday, and to be honest-- I'm not at all bitter, but I just want to stop thinking about engagement! I wish I didn't have to go!

How do you stop thinking about engagement when you see the one you love every day? Help!

PS... I tried going to get my nails done for some relaxation, and--I kid you not--the salon was playing a CD of bridal marches, and the closest magazine to my seat was a bridal catalog. There comes a point when it's just silly!

What do you girls do to keep yourselves sane? Especially when your hopes are up?

Work, work, spend time with family, friends, exercise, work, clean, and work. And every second in between I think of the proposal and the ring.

What's worst is that I now find myself staring at my ring finger and touching it every once in a while- like a horrible habit. It's really bad. Good luck. It'll be here before you think. Enjoy these last few days of being his girlfriend! :cheeky:

excercise, excercise and more excercise... go for a walk or run and clear your head. You will feel (and look eventually) much better :)

Its horrible i know but hang in there!!
