Update from #5 on the list!

Hi ladies (and maybe a few gentlement),

I can''t believe that I am number 5 on the list already, I don''t even know where I started out but it was probably like 130 or something like that! WOW! Anyway, I''m not engaged yet (well technically not, I''ll get into the details in a second!). My 29th birthday was about a month ago and I was sure that that was it, there had been some things I thought were "clues" that he was going to do it on my birthday but he didn''t! It ended up coming up a few weeks later, and he told me that we''d definitely be engaged by my 30th birthday...so...less than a year to go. He is starting his own business so it''s hard for him money-wise to save up enough for a ring right now.

On the other hand, the other day we were watching a show where the girl''s FI was going to jail and he told her that she should start planning a wedding for when he got out of jail. I jokingly (not really) said, "hey I should start planning a wedding too!" My BF then laughed and said "yeah for like 2015" to which I acted sad (knew he was joking!). I then said "you mean 2011" and we both were like "yeah maybe in the winter, January or February" since we want to have a DW in Puerto Rico. The next day, he texted me "how about Feb 12, 2011" and I was like "what about it?" He responded that I should start planning a wedding for that date!!! I told him that he better not be teasing me, and he said, no, that he was serious and that I should start planning for that day!!!!

Sooooo that''s how we set a date for our wedding. Now, back to waiting...but with some planning to keep me busy!

Should I get on the BIW list too?!?!?

Congrats on having a date! That''s awesome! One of my friends had this happen to her. She was told to plan the wedding for July 2009 and she started planning around August 2008 even though they were not engaged yet. She thought it''d happen on her bday and Thanksgiving, but no cigar. She stopped planning cause she was kinda getting worried. Then he proposed on Christmas and it was a wedding planning whirlwind all over again. (There was issues with the ring for him to be able to propose Thanksgiving so he missed that date. Almost missed Christmas too, since they misplaced the ring at the post office....)

I''m in the same position, too, sort of: FF, and I have talked about a tentative wedding sate of September 10th, 2011 (09/10/11), but I think he was only going along with it to satisfy me, lol. Oh well, my heart''s not set on that date, but it''s still fun to dream!
