Ooh that''s pretty! Congrats on picking ''the one''!

Katie from WF just sent me a picture of a .75 carat RB in the same setting so I can get an idea. I think my .9 will look just great in this setting!

Very pretty! Can''t wait to see the handshots! Congrats!

It''s beautiful I can''t wait to see pictures

Fantastic, patient1! It will be lovely!

Oooh so classy!!! It''s going to be a beaut!!
Please post handshots when you can!

You''ve made some very good choices! Your ring will be beautiful. We''ll be waiting for pictures!

It''s beautiful-hopefully it won''t be too long now before it''s on your finger!! Congrats!

In true ''indecisive'' fashion I now can''t decide between the WhiteFlash Sleek Lines or the ''Legato'' Sleek Line. I emailed my boyfriend both settings and we talked last night... I told him he can discuss the decision with me or he can look at them both and decide which he prefers.

That way, I don''t worry myself with the decision and I''ll always know he had the ultimate say in my setting... I think he likes the ''surprise'' idea. Granted, it''s not a huge surprise (they''re pretty much the same ring, just with different heads), but it''s the little things that count right??

Just wanted to keep y''all posted! Take care!

FWIW I prefer the Legato but either one will be beautiful! Sounds like a picked a cracker of a diamond too, an ACA and what a nice size!

If you''re truly ambivalent about which setting to get, letting your BF pick it is a lovely idea. I really like that.

Yeayyy that is fantastic news!!!

I also really like the idea of letting your SO pick out the final setting.

I''m very excited for you!!!!

Thank you all! Our diamond was chosen by someone else before we could get a hold on it.

But we''re driving to Beaumont, TX this weekend to visit my family so this may give us a chance to see settings and diamonds in person when we drive through Houston... and he''ll get to ask ''permission'' before buying anything.

So all-in-all I think it''s a blessing in disguise. Maybe I''ll fall in love with an ''ideal'' cut that''s not an ACA and get to bump up size a little!

Thank you for your encouragement Delster and Keepingthefaith21! It may sound a little silly to some, but I thought it was a sweet idea.

Ohhh. I''m sorry, patient1. That is no good. No good at all.

As you say though ... this may be the perfect opportunity to find an even more perfect for you and possibly even a little bigger diamond

at WF, no less. If all else fails, I''m certain that you will have a fantastic time playing with some diamonds and learning about what you really want.

Are you going to call WF to make an appt for some time this weekend just to make sure that they will be available for you?

Thanks Sparkalicious! That was something I was going to call about... I don''t know how their ''store'' works. I know they sell things online, but I didn''t know if they held ''appointments'' or had regular hours or if they opporated on Sundays.

I''ll just send an email or call Katie tomorrow to see what''s up. I''m still really excited to have found diamonds I love as well as my ideal settings in one place! Even though there has been some delay in purchase, this will insure a speedy completion when we do pay. ...Yippee!!! Our 6th anniversary is April 23rd, so it would be nice to ''seal the deal'' by then.

Just as an FYI, if you find a WF stone you want but need a few days to arrange payment, you can just give them a quick call to put it on hold. I know they say they will release the stone in 24 hours but if you actually talk to someone and explain your situation, they will hold it for longer. My FF had my ACA on hold for over a week before he got the payment thing finalized, and WF had absolutely no problem with that. I was worried about that when he first put it on hold, thinking we'd only have 24 hours to get it paid for, and then someone else would snatch it up (I knew he wouldn't have his check by the end of the 24 hours). He said he talked to them, and they said they would only release it if they hadn't HEARD from him again within the 24 hours.

They were also working on getting us a quote for a custom setting at the time, and like I said, my stone was on hold for at least a week before he actually paid for it. We just made sure to keep an open dialogue with them, and they with us. He made it clear to them that he was definitely going to buy the stone when he got his check, but he didn't want someone else to snatch it up before that time. They were very helpful and very accomodating.

I was so excited for you but then bummed that your diamond was sold! But hey, any opportunity for a bigger diamond

Thank you SO much! This will make my BF feel a lot better. :-) He hasn''t had much time to call the Bank yet and he''s been sweating the ''24 hour'' hold. To update, this morning I saw another diamond I really love and before I could email Katie at WhiteFlash about it, she actually emailed and suggested it to me! How''s that for service??

I''ll keep you ladies posted! Thanks again for the well wishes.

I love the pinched/tapered band!
