Hoooooray!!!!
First of all- thanks for all the positive feedback you guys gave in the last thread (both about the rings & shoes).
Secondly- for all those brave/ patient enough to deal with the crowds/ crazy bargain hunters-there are AMAZING deals to be had out there the next few days....
With that being said- I mentioned in my previous thread about how I had fallen in LOVE with a pair of possible wedding shoes-Christian Louboutins; they were about 60% off at Neiman Marcus Last Call at the time, but still a pretty penny, so I decided to wait until the Thanksgiving Sale (started today) to see if I could get em at an even better price....
The shoes were these:
Midnight Blue Bow T Dorcets
So... I looked high and lo, digging around the entire shoe section, but alas....they could not be found! I eventually enlisted the help of a salesman, who sadly acknowledged that they were probably sold already (the ONLY pair in that style, in my size).
I was feeling pretty heartbroken and called my fiance, who tried to reassure me and suggest I keep looking elsewhere over the next few months...when I walked past one of the store's locked cabinets-which had all the fancy "blingy" type shoes - rhinestone, crystals, etc.
In the very bottom corner- I spotted another pair...much much different, but ALSO dark navy blue (my primary wedding color; I'm using navy & orange, then hints of red & ivory at my reception-colors related to the Chicago Cubs and Bears - I'm crazy, I know).
I bent down to get a closer look- and what do you know- ALSO Louboutins!!!
Immediately, I flagged down the nearest salesman, who was very kind and told me 5 other women had inquired about them in the past 2 hrs...BUT because the shoes were size 4 1/2s (!)- it scared them away. Undeterred, I told him I wanted to give it a shot anyway (I'm usually a size 5 1/2 or 6). And so I did....and....they fit!!! A teeny bit snug with my little toe, but it's negligible and pretty comparable to the Dorcets. What's more- my bridesmaids gave them a BIG thumbs up, saying- they were much more, "me" and fitting with the laid back- fun type of wedding/reception we'll be having...
And so- I got my Louboutins (and my something blue!)- not the ones I originally expected, but equally as fabulous...And the price??? Just over $200!!! Amaaaaaazing!!!! Without further adieu.... pictures
Louboutin Blue Glitter Peep Toe Pumps
^^^Just for fun- yes- that's pasty me in my dress (I'm lifting it up pretty high there) and the following vvvv are the even more crazy "comfy" shoes I'll eventually be putting on (my reception's going to be on one the Wrigley Field rooftops during a Cubbies game - I got crafty
So there ya have it- I know- more about shoes than bling- but I included the obligatory ring shots, so it counts, eh?? Thanks again guys, hope you enjoy the pics, and to anyone about to embark on wedding craziness: Remember- it's all about having fun!!! (Keep your fingers crossed for me too!)
