Just thought I''d let you ladies know...
First - THANK YOU for all of the advice on this subject. I had resigned myself to keeping quiet about it until after my boyfriend''s mom''s services and after time had gone by. I sat and thought about it, and the important part is that he is grieving the loss of his mother. The fact that his wedding pic is on the wall is uncomfortable to me....but not the primary concern. But, it inadvertantly solved itself!
A couple hours ago, we were going through boxes of photos to pick some to make a collage for his mom''s calling hours. His mom saved hundreds of photos from the past 50+ years!!! And in one box, we found tons of wedding photos. My boyfriend quickly threw those aside. He seemed almost embarassed that they were there. So I asked him, "What are you going to do with those?" And he said, "Save them for the kids...and if they don''t want them, toss them out. I don''t need those in my house." So I said, "Well, it''s funny that you say that....because the frame by the front door has one of...THOSE...photos in it." And he said, "It does?!! Holy sh*t! That frame came from my mom''s house and I did not see that! Get it for me, please." So I did. And he popped open the frame, took the pic out and ripped it up!!!! He didn''t even give it a second thought!
So, the offending photo dilemma is SOLVED! My boyfriend is at Walmart right now, picking up some collage frames. I will spend the rest of my evening sifting through charming photos from his mom''s youth. She served as an army nurse in WW2 and had an awesome life. Those are the kind of photos I love to see.
