Update on waiting

Well, my b/f told me last night, that the whole proposal/engagment is doing to happen sooner than I think! Although I never told him when I thought it might be. I said will you tell me a time frame yet, and he sighed. I asked why don''t you like time frames and he said well the truth is because of money. I said ok, well are you going to propose in a years time? and he said well maybe, then I sighed, but it made me very happy. He said he didn''t want to even give a time frame, so I would be surprised. He is, believe me a typical man, more like "Time the Toolman Taylor type" but with extremely good taste. He''s an autobody tech by trade and we argue about colors for rooms. He''ll say I paint cars I know my colors and I''ll say I paint canvas, I KNOW MY COLORS! LOL He said you know what when I ask you though, getting married is not going to happen for quite awhile. I said oh I know, I know! I know it''s not going to be for another 3 years to be financially ready, maybe 2. It was very sweet, we started to remenis sp? about how we met, I told him all this stuff, like I remember you were early for our first meeting together, and you told me you started driving around by the beach waiting for the 30 minutes you were early to pass... He said I never told you that, how did you know I was early?! I close my eyes with a big smile on my face, and tell him the way he shook my hand was llike a little shy school boy. We met through Match.com that''s why he was so nervous, but at the time, he was seeing someone else and he said let''s meet up as friends because we had still IMed each other as friends for months. So, I got involved with someone else, and his fell through. My new relationship started to sour, and he would comfort me on the phone till 3am!!!!!!!!! what a patient guy lol He''s very traditional, and picking out the ring he feels should be up to him, which was kinda scarey in the beginning, but I do trust him now, in picking something I kniow I''ll love.

Oh I forgot to mention... when I talked about how we met, he had tears in his eyes. He''s not a very emotional type like I said. I thought it was so cute.!!!!!!

Awwww, slowly but surely you and all of us will get there! At least he is open to talking about it all!

Im happy for you.. all in good time! If I didn''t find this place to chat out my feelings i would still be wondering.....

There's also a possibility that he doesn't want to give you a time frame because if his money situation doesn't improve and he can't propose in that time frame, you'll be very disappointed. And I'm SURE he doesn't want that to happen. I personally think you should "let sleeping dogs lie" because asking for even a time frame will make some guys think you're pushing the issue. I'm not sure how your man is, but that's how some men I know are. It's good that he has the intention of proposing though. Your story is really sweet. I basically met my fiance through Match.com also. Be patient sweetie. It'll happen and when it does, it'll be one of the best days of your life.

ETA: Oh, did I tell you that my fiance proposed only about two weeks after I decided I wasn't going to bring up the proposal and engagement again? Just something to think about... You can talk to US all you want about it though!
