Hi, all!
I just realized how long it''s been since I''ve posted, even though I faithfully read up on what is going on with everyone! I wanted it to not come out of nowhere when I ask to be taken off the list, which will probably be relatively soon.
It has been over five weeks since we ordered the ring, and the diamond (yes, we went with a diamond - that tradition was just too important to him for me to make a fuss about) has been in the safe for four weeks! I was playing around with it every now and then until i misplaced it while doing laundry and had the scare of my life!
But I did find a missing pearl earring while i was looking for it, and I think that''s a good sign.
About the ring: you can see it on the designer''s website. It will be platinum with a sandblasted, matte finish (very modern, I love it!) and it is quite dainty (1.8 mm wide). We also ordered the matching wedding band in a half-eternity. The center is the same size as in the photo there, just to give you an idea (significantly bigger than I was expecting but, again, I love it!)
The ring was supposed to arrive in three weeks but it ended up being exactly five weeks to the day from when we ordered and paid to when the designer shipped it. It should arrive at the store tomorrow and then they will ship it to us! I am trying not to get my hopes up for any earlier than Friday but it is hard
When we talked about it last, he said he did want to actually ask, propose, formally, I guess. And we are going to Paris in the first week of May. But I don''t know if either one of us will be able to wait that long! I have a feeling my LIW-itis is going to be at its most severe for the next four weeks!
