Update... (sort of)

Well I know I''ve posted about it here in the last couple weeks. I was a Bridesmaid this past Saturday. And it was a beautiful wedding. I got the boquet

doubt it''ll have any effect on me though because I spoke with BF last week and found out that I probably won''t get a ring until he cuts and sells the timber from the land that he inherited and that can''t be done until it dries out. We''ve been getting nothing but rain for the past week and it''s winter and our winters are very rainy here... SO... probably won''t be getting a ring for quite some time.

Guess that gives me PLENTY of time to change my mind about what settings I like though and hopefully means I can get something a little more pricey

Mirre: I caught the bouquet once and it turned into a video clip that could have landed on America's Funniest Video's. It smacked me dead in the face and kind of plopped into my hands. My expression alone was priceless. You could tell I was surprised (who wouldn’t be after getting smacked in the face with a bunch of flowers) but I was laughing so hard all the baby's breath kept falling into my mouth. So there I was laughing and gagging all at once and it's all caught on tape!

Anywho...at least now you have some indication as to when it may happen. Like you said, maybe the delay is a positive one. Perhaps when the time comes to dry out the lumber and sell it, your SO will be able to afford more of the bling you want. In the meantime, keep working on finding the perfect setting!!

Could he be just ''playing'' you? Trying to lead your bloodhound nose away from ''the trail''? Trying to disguise any ideas he may have of a Christmas proposal?

If not, be patient and know that it will happen when it should -- it always does.

Yeah I told the bride the day before "That boquet is MINE I need it!" lol... There was a little girl probably 10yrs old at most and she and I got tripped over one another... the end of the stems were in my hand and when we went down I grabbed them. The bride said she overheard the little girl telling her mom she wanted them and her mom said "It''s ok I''m glad you didn''t get them" then had to explain what it was suppose to "mean".

Here''s a theory: What if catching the boquet is opposite of what we''ve always been told?

HollyS I wish that were the case (and while I suppose it always could be) I doubt it. I''m in college, have about 4 months to go (WooHoo

) and the $ situation isn''t exactly great.

Its ok though because although I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be engaged now I have come sto terms with the fact that I would rather wait longer and get the ring of my dreams than get something right now just to be able get it right now, because what I get I plan to keep forever upgrading just doesn''t sound appealing to me. There''s always nine more fingers for that

I was the MOH and caught the bouquet - my FF was in the wedding, too and he got the garter... everyone thought it was fixed because we''re "next in line", but I think it was fate.

I didn''t even try for it - I was standing there, it hit the ceiling and came down right at my feet after another girl who was about 16 tried for it and tipped it towards me. Funny thing is, same thing happened with him, someone tried for it, was a little short of grabbing it, and then it landed right at his feet.

Three weeks later he ordered my ring... and I''ve been waiting for it ever since, now going on two and a half months!

He''s been giving me excuses of why it hasn''t happened - like "I need to do it when I have a lot of extra money left over" and "Not until after the holidays" - But I heard from someone else he''s planning it by the end of the year. No matter what, I know that it will be amazing when it happens, and I''m trying NOT to speculate when it will happen.
