PRICES REDUCED!!

I've thought long and hard and despite everything being very attractively priced already, I've reduced the prices on most pieces. Figure it's better to eat a bigger loss than hold onto things I'm not going to wear. Hopefully this will help them find homes with fellow PSers before I have to find some other way to sell them or consider keeping them for my daughter.

Hi Elle,

There's actually a little story behind this watch. It was originally purchased in May 2005 as a wedding gift from my mom. I rarely wore it and somehow managed to lose it. I was at the gym and left it on my towel which I then rolled up and threw in the towel bin, never to see it again. This was in early 2009. I was devastated and just wanted it replaced, though in hindsight I should've thought about whether that's really the watch for me (it's not -- I'm an Air King kinda gal!). Anyway, by that time, an updated model was out already which is slightly more rounded. I strongly preferred the sleeker look of my model, plus I wanted the exact watch my mom gave me, so I had the watch store hunt a brand new one down from one of its distributors and luckily they managed to. So to make a long story short, it's a model from about 2005-2008 but I bought it in 2009 when it was on its way out and no longer widely available.

I hope you don't mind me threadjacking. I noticed that you spend part of the time in Hong Kong. I'm also currently HK-based and have had no luck in finding a good jeweler who can do general repairs and maintenance (prong tightening, check ups, repolish, etc.). I've tried a couple but they either try to upsell me on something else (also, I like antique cut diamonds and I've had some confused reactions when I showed them my diamonds which are AGS not GIA graded), their bench is not quite up to the standard that I'm used to, or both. If you have any recommendations on local jewelers to check out, I would be most grateful! Thanks very much

You know...that's the million dollar question!! I've been searching for the answer to the same for almost a decade and have even posted a query here once. You'd think with the abundance of bling in HK, quality jewelers would be on every corner like Starbucks! But alas, not the case. I haven't found a single one worth recommending. Granted I haven't really needed much work done but I was considering having a setting made here rather than have to ship the stone back to Leon but did not come across anyone who instilled enough confidence in me to commission them the project. I'm sure they exist but from all that I've gathered, they only do work for jewelery shops and don't take on work from individuals. And a lot of the jewelery shops won't accept repair or maintenance or even resetting work unless it's something they sold you. So I'm afraid I don't have anyone for you. Sorry! Thanks for the fast response! Too bad, that's the feeling I got too. Have you ever tried Sally Ryder or Haywards? I've seen them recommended a lot on some other mailing lists that I'm on, they claim to do custom work and repairs but I'm a bit wary after having had a poor experience with a custom project with a different local jeweler.

I wish I were your ring size, I really like some of your eternity bands that you have listed. I can't believe they're still available, it's such a good bargain! [emoji1]
