Has anyone else found that when you reach a certain *child bearing age* that no matter what you feel like, some people decide it MUST be because you''re PREGNANT? Sick? Must be morning sickness. Happy and bubbly? Must be hormones bouncing out of control. Decide to wear new makeup? Must be the "mother''s glow."
I''ve not been feeling well lately, had stomach issues, hot and cold flashes, then today I mentioned I was craving some ice cream. Not twenty minutes later, a good friend at work comes to my office and says the women up front in reception have been asking if I could be pregnant, and how that''s disappointing because they thought I was a *good girl.*
Shame shame. I''ve not been feeling good, and I want ice cream in the middle of a HELLISH heatwave.
Why is it whenever a woman is under the weather or a little *off* from her regular demeanor, and between the ages of 22 and 35, she''s deemed pregnant by nosy, gossipers?
What about women who are trying to have a child, and haven''t been able to yet? Don''t they know that sort of talk would be really hurtful to them? And don''t they know that someone who''s opted not to participate in the activity that causes pregnancy would be somewhat baffled as to why someone would think she''s pregnant? I mean, my name''s not Mary! It''s just annoying when people like to speculate and cause chaos. And that *Dr. Appointment* I went to yesterday, it wasn''t pre-natal. It was the flipping dentist.
Work rumors crack me up.
