I''m hoping all you creative folks can give me some thoughts on this idea. FI & I love the whiteasile Arbor invites (pictured below), but I also like the idea of having a pocket or folder of some kind, especially since the tea length invite seems a little casual on its own. Below is a poorly patched-together picture of what it might look like in a pocketfold. In addition to opinions on this idea, here are some other questions for you stationary-savvy folks:

If you use a pocketfold, does the invite have to be stuck to the inside? Could you just use it more like an inner envelope? Do these look dumb if there''s only one insert (rsvp)? If I did this, I would probably add either a belly band around the outside or a seal of some kind.

What about a sleeve instead of an envelope? Is it a PITA to get the smaller rsvp card out if you put it into a long sleeve thingy?

Will a sleeve look silly if there''s not a specific logo peeking out and you just see part of the design?
Would I be better off doing brown tissue wrapped around, maybe closed with a sticker and/or a skeleton leaf?

I think that''s enough to chew on -- I''d love your thoughts and ideas. Oh, and any recommendations for places that sell 4X9 pocketfolds or sleeves separately. Here are the ones I found... http://paperpresentation.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=IPMCO

Here is my mockup (without RSVP). Please excuse, this was done using Word and Paint.

I think that it really depends on what your style is. Personally I prefer a pocketfold to have a couple of different bits in it ie. the invite, rsvp, directions etc. The invite doesn''t have to be stuck onto it if you don''t want it to be, but I''m not sure how it would look if you do it another way. I think that a sleeve would be nice. You could definitely put the smaller rsvp card in the sleeve.
We actually got a wedding invite last week and it was similar in design to yours, but they had the invite kind of glued onto a beautiful gold backing card. It looked really nice. D has it in work as he was sending back the reply but I''ll try and get it off him to post pics.

Love the detail on the invites!!!

How about something like this? (from smashingcards.com, sorry pic is so small)

Edited to fix spelling!

hmmm -- i think maybe this style i could even DIY the folder?

Mandarine -- i love the simple vellum wrap also. I''m leaning towards that, but maybe in a brown or gold. Either that or the long sleeve -- I just want some other layer, but i think an inner envelope would look silly in a #10 size.

The wrap in gold would look beautiful!

I also do like the idea of the pull out pocket thingy you posted

Maybe a wrap with a nice ribbon instead of a sticker?...or maybe you could find a stamp that matched the leaves on your invite and do something like that....or have cut out leave patterns to seal the wrap?

In any case, I would not use anything to stick directly to the wrapping paper so that guests don''t have to rip it to open it....maybe you can have a belly band and stick whatever tag you want in there?(that''s how I closed my pocketfolds) or a nice ribbon with no tag...I think it makes it look cleaner and there are no "rippping" marks after they open it :)
