Valentine's day gift question

So DH and I never really celebrate Valentine's day. We both think it's a bit silly to have "a day" vs loving each other every day! Not to mention how crappy the day is for those who are lonely....BUT! I was browsing Instagram this morning(as always), and of course my entire "followed" list is either jewelry or dogs and I saw this.



I asked what it meant, and apparently it means "more than yesterday, less than tomorrow", and it's a love token based on a poem. I died, because in my wedding vows (from 2012) I said,

"(name of DH) I love you more today than yesterday, and tomorrow more than today, from now until forever."

so I decided I need one of these, and dh sweetly said to go for it and buy one

Now the question is which one?? The ones in the pic are sold, but here are the ones I'm considering. They are obviously similar, but have small differences


Or I could go big and get this one, but I'm afraid the halo distracts from the words.

I like the third one. Looks balanced with the way the cross, letters & rubies get wider from top to bottom. And the pop of ruby red is just right. I feel the last one with the ruby ring is too much.

officially between these 2. Ruby one is $1200 and engraved is $700. My instinct was the engraved one. It's a quarter size and the Ruby one is dime sized. So smaller and more expensive, but also more rare! Ack decisions!

If it's meant to be a statement piece, ruby halo. It's also more "special" in its own fashion.

This is such a sweet token. Of your final two choices, I like the one that is the size of a quarter because it seems like you would be able to see the wording better than the dime sized piece.

I love the ruby halo! It's fabulous! However if you want to wear it every day perhaps the engraved one is better. Go with your gut! They are both stunning!

I had DH weigh in because I was having a tough time deciding, and he prefers the engraved one to the ruby halo.

I asked the vendor about the thinner halo one, but he says they dont come in very often and sell quickly, so he can't really predict if/when they will get more.

Buying the engraved one, which is bigger so hopefully the words will be more clear. Hope I don't make a bad choice. Vendor says both are really high quality so any choice is good.

I think the engraved one is a good choice b/c it'll be easier to wear than the halo'd version...i love these charms and have one on my "to buy" list =P Enjoy your treat!

My pick would be there second one. Although the third one looks more visually balanced if you ignore the message, personally I would like to have the plus and the minus signs equal size. Otherwise, in my point of view it overemphasizes the "less than tomorrow" symbolically.
