Anything I should be aware of with this setting? I know it has a closed/solid bottom (no access for cleaning). I wonder how sturdy (durable) this setting is?
Thanks.

I have the Valoria six prong petite setting in 18k white gold. It was supposed to be a temporary setting for my 3.01 ACA. I really was surprised how much I like it. The profile is so pretty. It cradles the diamond with a swoop. It’s hard to explain. I’ll post a pic. It’s a thinner setting than I’m use to..but it feels very sturdy. I have no worries about it being too delicate. It’s very easy to clean because it’s very open on the sides. I run it through the ultrasonic often. It never gets a chance to get grimey..

Thank you! Appreciate this information and the pic of your ring.

Thank you! Appreciate your response and the pic you posted of your beautiful diamond ring, I too like the swoop. Can I ask what prongs you chose, are they claw, or other prongs?

I planned on getting my diamond reset pretty quickly so I didn’t specify how I wanted the prongs. They’re pretty small..not claw prongs. I prefer claw prongs..but since they are small I’m happy with them. One day I will reset my diamond…I’m in no rush at this point. I’m really enjoying this setting.

I am trying to decide whether to go with platinum or 18k white gold.

My ring is very light in weight. Platinum will give you the weight. I have many Platinum rings. They are much heavier.. I just prefer the whiteness of 18k white gold. No one can see how much it weighs..so I went with white gold. Let us know what you decide! We need photos too!

Thank you! That is very helpful information!

I have the Valoria too & I'm loving it so far. The only issue I had was that it doesn't have a donut and the band I was planning to wear with it was rubbing on the prongs. So I just got a new band!! I was concerned about the closed bottom but it has been easy to keep clean so far, even without an ultrasonic, although I'll probably get one eventually.

I love the way mine looks from the side. In my opinion it makes the stone look bigger, between the curved prongs and the thin tapered band. To me the Valoria just really makes the stone pop.

I requested petite claw prongs but asked that they be delicate & softened. Mine came out perfectly!

Can I tag (barge =)2 ) onto your thread @chamois ? I'm also considering the Valoria but in yellow gold because my stone is a K.
We need to start a thread on the SMTB forum where anyone who has the Valoria can post. Its a lovely setting at a good price
point.

Does anyone have the Valoria in yellow gold? If so, please post!

Thanks @chamois !

Thank you for posting a pic of your beautiful ring. I too am a bit concerned about the closed underneath. I also agree about the lovely side view, I think it show cases the stone even more (if that makes sense?).

I agree, the price point is very attractive for such a lovely setting.
