Vatche Pave Solitare at SuperbCert

No, it''s not mine, but I just saw this on the SuperbCert site and had to show you all. (Hello? Mara?)

Isn''t it gorgeous? I love pave and this is the first time I''ve seen this ring...I like how it''s prong set and it has the look of the Royal Crown in the prongs. And the pave goes all the way around!

And no, I don''t work for SuperbCert or Vatche.

Someone please buy this setting and post pictures of it on your hand. Thanks.

That's a beautiful ring...it looks almost exactly like mine! The ONLY difference is that it is just the teeniest bit thinner (like 1 mm).

I love it...naturally!

That's not a royal crown head, though.
I only see 4 prongs (though I confess, I only have on my contact lenses on)

I LOVE pave too, and that's why I am probably going to get the Vatche 3mm pave wedding band, barring any other rings that TRULY impress me...

I wanted a simpler e-ring to showcase the stone that took us 2 months and way too much stress to get, but diamond sparklies all around for a wedding ring!!!

I agree someone must fall in love with this setting, buy it and post pictures. Please hurry too!

Tessa, there are two more views of this ring. In between the prongs that you can't see is a little "half" thingy that comes up. It reminds me of the Royal Crown. (I posted a link below to the picture showing all 4 views.)

Nicrez, I am not sure how this would look with a 3mm pave wedding band anyway. I'm thinking you'd have to get the same width band for this. I'm not sure how wide this one is.

Paul's girl, I just looked up pictures of your ring. It's gorgeous!

Thanks! The pitiful photos I took do NOT do my amazing ring justice. I have almost given up on my attempts at photographing it, because they never turn out looking even remotely as pretty as it is. I wish I had a loupe, so I could take a really good close up of the center stone, and the band is just one gigantic sparkle, yet I have yet to capture it on camera the way it looks in person.

Pauls Girl, I have found a superb magic fix to taking jewelry pics upclose. I have a Canon digital Elph, so there's not the greatest of zoom (except good digital, grainy zoom), but my camera LOOKS pretty...

I bought an Ideal Scope, and had a bizarre idea to take out the pink cup that colors the stone, to show the leakage (which is not really attached and can be popped out), and thus taking that clear part of it, which has a built in magnifying lens, I cupped it (inverted with the open end outward) over my camera lense at full zoom, and suddenly I have zoomed pictures with a manual zoom. Okay, so I have issues, but try it if you have an ideal scope, or if you want, you can get one throught PS here. Hope it help!

Here's how well it comes out with slight zoom...

and here's one with max zoom

Thanks, Nic! I have been debating whether to purchase one for some time...but if it helps to take pictures, I think that has pushed me towards buying. It is definitely frusterating when I take 25 pictures and they all either turn out blurry or are just too far away to get any details.
I have been dying to see what my center stone looks like under the pink leakage filter anyway.

Thanks! Great idea!

Wow! That is a really pretty ring. I love the delicate/dainty look it has. Sort of a subtle elegance. I'll have to keep it in mind for when I get engaged - which is only 3 or so years away, lol.

Nicrez - your ring looks really pretty! Do you have any full shots of it? Perhaps on another thread? I'd love to see what it looks like on your hand.

marriahlyn, Good find! Yeah, it looks good with the band, doesn't it?

Oooh yes I do like that setting. Love the pave. However, daily use? May not be as good for an engagement ring if you are hard on your hands. The pave look very delicately suspended on a very thin band with relatively too-little metal. You'd probably lose a few stones after wearing it for a few years. If that doesn't faze you...it is a VERY lovely setting. I love that it's thin and it does look smashing with the wedding band. Too bad the auction isn't just for the setting, I'm sure some of us would be secretly bidding.

Hello,
This is my first post. I've been lurking for months. I'm crazy for pave settings and am considering the Vatch x-prong pave in platinum or the Precision Set Flushfit #7973 and #6200 in plat.
Has anyone tried on the Flushfit or seen them in person?
I plan on setting a Regent (if I can find the one for me) in the pave setting.
Thanks.
p.s. I have to figure out how to upload my avatar. I keep getting error messages.

Hi glacierpt. Welcome to Pricescope! I love the pictures you posted but no, I haven't tried them on in person or seen them.

About the avatar...I found if I renamed mine, it went through. Not sure why.

Welcome Glacier...the Precision Set looks alot like my own e-ring setting...4 prong eternity all the way around. The wedding ring will be similar, but thinner. I want some differentiation to show there are 2 rings and not 1.

That said, I tried on a bunch of rings while I was figuring out what size I wanted my wedding ring to be. I found that the best thing is to ensure that your engagement ring stone is large enough in terms of diameter to overlap both rings. So my ering stone is diameter of 7.15. My current e-ring is around 3mm. So putting on a 3mm wedding ring, made my center stone look smaller! Because it was almost the same size visually as the rings I would have on. By keeping the wedding ring to be more like 2.3mm...it made a huge difference visually. I would have to wear like a 2c ring for the 6mm to work really well. Anyway, something to keep in mind ...try stuff on before you commit to buying a style of ring...you may put it on and realize it's too chunky or not chunky enough etc.

But I love the style! Check out the Precision Set in person and let us know what you think.

Good luck!

Thanks Patty. Thanks Mara.
There is a jeweler in my area that carries Precision Set. I'm hoping to go visit this weekend.
