vegas restaurants?

hi everyone!

will be going to vegas over christmas and was wondering if anyone could recommend any great restaurants? any type of pricing will be fine but a requirement is that the food be delish! can be formal or informal as we are planning on doing both. if you have any restaurants in mind, please let me know what dishes you felt were excellent as well. thanks a lot!

Vegas has lots of great restaurants these days. Many of the top name restaurants across the country have put one in vegas, so you'll find several from Wolfgang Puck, & Emerill, there is an Aeroelas (sp?) of NYC fame in the Mandelay Bay along with a China Grill, etc. There is a very popular seafood buffet at the Rio. All of the top hotels have some famous restaurants, plus there are some great non-hotel ones out Sahara towards Summerlin. Rosemary's is a great one in that area.

Do some searches on the web. Unlike the Vegas of 10 - 15 years ago, it's hard to go wrong food-wise.

There are so many amazing restaurants in Vegas. I can't remember all the right hotels for the places we went, but we loved: Picasso, LE Cirque, and Olives (all in the Bellagio), Charlie Palmer and Aureole (Four Seasons/Mandalay)the Eiffel Tower restaurant (Paris, of course!) was really amazing, you have to have the chocolate souffle there, Nobu...and the fun thing about Vegas is, in most cases, you can go as dressed up or down as you like. We went to the Eiffel TOwer for Easter dinner one year and we were dressed to the nines and had the most amazing time. If you go there, make sure to get a tabel facing the Bellagio for their water show! Have fun!

Yes I highly second Le Cirque, Olives and Aureole !!!




Also Voodoo Lounge is pretty cool for ambiance, food is so-so but their drinks are awesome. I think it's in the Rio.




Whatever you do, skip the buffets!!!

The Bellagio has a GREAT buffett: King Crab Leg, Jumbo sized cocktail shrimp, acorn squash ravioli, kobe beef, prime rib etc......... YUM
