What settings are recommended for very thin-thin girdles?

Is it safe to put it in a simple Leon solitaire or Halo/Bezel it?

I don''t want the diamond to chip, even though it will be insured, my gf is in love with the diamond.

I take it this is a cushion shape diamond, what type of grading report please? Firstly thin girdles are not usually problematic, and in some cases very thin is not a problem if the very thin part covers a small area, and or is in a non vulnerable place. A trusted vendor/ setter will be able to advise you or an independant appraiser if the very thin area of the girdle of the diamond in question is a potential durability issue and how to set it accordingly.
