Antique Victorian Ruby and Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring Size 5 on Loupe Troop
Beautifully appointed details set this antique Victorian ring apart from the rest. Vertically ribbed shoulders admirably compliment six (6) old mine cut diamonds of .12 carats each clustered around a faceted ruby of approximately .26 carats. The warm rose gold brings out the brilliance of the diamonds and the red reflections of the open back ruby. Total diamond weight for the ring is estimated at .72 carats.
Please note: One of the prongs has had some work done to it previous to my ownership.
Measures just less than ½ of an inch (1.1 cm) in diameter and rises from finger ¼ of an inch (0.6 cm). It has a weight of 4.6 grams
Dates circa 1880 – 1890
As shown in photos this gorgeous ring was featured in a Victorian Homes article in 2008. I will gladly include the magazine with the article if you wish to have it.
