Vintage Platinum diamond band and Semi mount

Hi there!

I am offering my vintage '50's Platinum semi-mount - and diamond wedding band - due to a platinum allergy.

The semi mount features two tapered baguettes, approx. .20 pts. each. The band is approx. 2 mm's wide and is a size 5. The prongs are in good condition and will hold a marquise shape stone approx. size of 11.5x6mm. This is a beautiful, classic style and a similar ring was recently featured in Martha Stewart's magazine wedding issue. I am only selling due to the platinum allergy.


The diamond band compliments the semi-mount perfectly. It has alternating baguettes (2) and four rounds, for a total of approx. 25 points. This is also a size 5. I am offering the band at a discounted price, as one of the baguettes has a very small chip at a corner...it was chipped when I bought it (I realized this only after the fact, I did not notice it in the vendor pics!), but it is not visible, only under magnification/loupe. This is a gorgeous band, perfect for stacking, etc., I am sick over having to sell it.

The head is integrated into the band, it might be able to fit a round - but it would take some work...would have to check with a jeweler though.

I looked back at your pictures but don't see any of the profile. Do you happen to have any? The stone I am looking at purchasing is 12.66 x 5.37. I know your stone is a bit different in size. Do you think it could be adjusted to fit?

Hi again…

I don't have any pics of the profile uploaded anywhere, but I could e-mail you some…

And I am not sure if the prongs could be adjusted, the depth would be fine I think, as the prongs hold the stone up fairly high…the end prongs would have to be bent out a tad further to fit your size stone…I think a jeweler would have to look at it and see what they think.

I could take it into my jeweler tomorrow and ask…I'd go today, but I have a horrible sore throat and not up to going out in public.
