Vintage platinum setting & demantoid ring

Hi guys!

I'm selling the vintage setting that my 2.55 S-T OEC came in. It's beautiful, but too fancy for me. And I need the money I personally think this setting would be in seventh heaven if it were outfitted with a beautiful sapphire. My non-professional opinion is that the setting could hold a stone between 8.3-8.7mm, either round or cushiony-round (essentially it's a 4-prong setting). Size 5. $2300 OBO.

Also selling my demantoid ring after getting a little cert for the stone. The setting is freshly polished and the prongs are claw-ified. $600.

Both really pretty! Two questions for you: what is the clarity like on the demantoid - is it eye clean? I have loved that platinum setting from afar for a while. When you wore it, was it comfortable, or did it dig into your finger at all? TIA!

Hi Minou!

The demantoid is eye-cleanish, by CS standards. If it were a diamond, it would be I1-2, but luckily colored stones don't get graded that way. The faceting, color, and sparkle hides the inclusions very well.

The platinum setting is very comfy! When I get home I'll include a photo of the inside. It's got a smooth kind of support thing that rests on the finger... Sorry I don't know the proper terminology for this stuff.
