Vivid Red Pigeon Blood Thai Ruby (AIGS) | Loupe Troop

***This is considered "Trade Ideal" color.
This is 0.96ct Thai ruby with the most wonderful wonky cutting that performs absolutely beautifully! It faces up much larger than your average 1ct oval (6.29x5.47x3.42) and yet has full brilliance and ZERO window. I don't know how it happened, but the cutter clearly knew what s/he was doing! It has beautiful crystal and is as red as red gets. This is true Pigeon Blood color (termed Vivid Red per the AIGS certificate). The certificate (from 201
Fluorescence is moderate (typical for Thai ruby), there is a cavity on the pavilion which is not visible face-up and the color is red, Red, RED! A remarkable stone that I DO NOT want to sell, but I'm feeling a bit *motivated* between taxes & a recent purchase.
Price is firm at $2100 with AIGS certificate and global FedEx shipping.
