I asked for help finding an e-ring in another thread, but just decided to come up with my own. Now I need everyone's help deciding which stone combination looks the best.

I'll have to find out how huge the price difference is, but what's your vote?

diamonds?
25261945.jpg
or sapphires?

1> rubies
2> sapphires

In that order :}

The more blues the better. Always!

*lol* OK. Rubies, huh? The sapphire is my birthstone and the diamond is my fiance's so I think I'll stick with the blue. Actually, my sister is the ruby lover, and we've always had this sort of sisterly competition thing going so I could never admit that I like them too

well urban camo would be my first pick but havent seen a stone that matches the pattern. :}
black second but it just dont look right in gemstones
Red is my third favorite color and blue 4th.
Cant stand green or pink but purple and brown are so-so ok.
Oh and I like gold color better than silver color.

So that makes:
ruby in gold my first pick :}
sapphire in gold second :}

diamond in gold about 6 or 7th

Urban camo :}
Some of it has a little more blue which i like better but this one isnt bad.

Indigo that is a gorgeous set. Personally I like the diamond band, but the sapphire band is also very pretty in a unique way. The diamond band is timeless.

You are in luck! There are tons of stones like this! Litearrrraly... Mawsitsit, jade, half a dictionary of jaspers and, of course, opal, then Australian multicolour sapphire and multicolour tourmaline (the Liddicoatite type get's the pattern but not quite) may display such color 'lickeage' and the pattern (if not the colors) are closely matched by the swirls of sugilite. There's something called "Australian zebra stone" that's within spittin' distance and stromatites get close in the tans and browns of "desert camouflage" patterns. The US "brands" of paint rock and mookaite do the trick too. Oh, and you should be quite a follower of mocume gane if you like these, isn't it?

You've got yourself quite a job if you really want jewelry materials in to match military gear

I know I'm new to this forum and none of you know me, but if I can be so bold as to put my 2 cents/sense...whatever, in. The sapphire band sets off the diamond so beautifully and is such an unusual look.

Well...if you care about this sort of thing, I love the blue, but when the band goes offcenter as you wear it, it will be more noticed when it is askew on your finger. Just a consideration, unless you get them soldered together.

Hmm tough decision! I love both...the blue seems to stand out a bit more than the white...but it really may depend on what you love.

Why don't you choose the wedding band together with your fiance? Then you can make the decision jointly!

That's a good point, caratgirl. I had trouble putting them together in photoshop so they're a little askew in my picture (and my diamond won't be that large compared to the side stones).

I want the curved band so that they will fit together a little better, but I don't want to permanently connect them. Does anyone use those little bands to hold the two together?

I'm also wondering about the diamond in the gallery on the e-ring. When the wedding band is there, it won't really show on that one side.

Mara, I'm asking his opinion too. He's in Europe so I have to wait on him to be online. I was actually just getting the engagement ring, but he's the one who wants me to get a wedding band now too... which is weird because where he's from they often only have one ring.

hehehe thanks val for giving me some more types of gemstones to dream and obsess about!
They are like crack can’t get enough lol.

I think the sapphires draws the attention to the e-ring stone so beautifully. On the other hand, the diamonds are pretty and they would add some really nice sparkle to your finger. Hmmm, I say that you can't go wrong with either choice!

I keep going back and forth on this, and the more I stare at them, I tend to agree that the deep blue of the sapphires really do highlight the centerstone beautifully. A wonderful contrast.

What about alternating diamonds and sapphires? Then your wedding band will reflect both of you

Buy both.

Oh, I meant diamond and sapphire.

Really.

You can wear all three rings or alternate.

The set is beautiful and great for stacking.

Unless you buy both (a neat idea!), I prefer the diamonds. The blue stones are lovely, but with all the detail on the ring(s) one's eye hops around when the outer stones are blue. The diamonds (in my opinion) give it a more fluid look, a better flow.
