The cake with the brown swirls wins my vote! I think it''s great.
 
Hands down, the brown swirl cake!

ETA: after realizing why you had the two cakes per choice, I want to add that for the brown swirl cake, I don't like the flowers you're pairing with it....it seems like it would be too much. But I still prefer the swirl cake.
 
I love all of them, but I think the bottom fits the atmosphere of the location.
 
I love the brown scroll too but I think with the flowers it might be too much. I voted for the bottom pair--very elegant.

But I would suggest going and talking to a cake baker.. bring a lot of ideas.. I sort of found out a lot of my ideas weren''t feasible.
I didnt'' want fondant.. so that ruled out a lot of my choices.
 
I like the scroll one too. That''s one of my top choices but DH didn''t like it.

Why are you having them voted as a pair? Are you having them together? I don''t think they look good paired.

I like the top one but I don''t know if I would like that many flowers. THe scrollwork is intricate enough on it''s own, I think just the flowers on top will be enough... The bottom is super classic though, I love that too.

I picked the brown scroll, it''s beautiful, and I imagined chocolate in there somewhere. Mmmmmm chocolate!
 
I like the top one with the ribbon.. you can always take add less flowers. But I think that it is elegant and fits the mmod of your wedding very well.
 
If you want a lot of flowers on your cake I''d go with the simpler designs of the 2nd pair. I love the look of flowers on the cakes, but I think the swirls with lots of flowers is just WAY too much going on! Its sort of like one or the other, like the flowers are the decoration on the cake or the design is. So, since you seem to be liking the combination of flowers on the cake...I vote for pair #2. I like the unique shape of the mstemwedel cake.

Ok I guess I didn''t paying attention to that. I don''t think the scroll one needs the flowers tho. If you want more flowers, then I would go with a simpler design on the cake.
 
Top one, hands down. The brown scrolling is beautiful and I think it goes great with your other decor ideas.

I do think that you need to tone done the brown scrolling somehow if you''re going to do a lot of roses though. Together, that large amount of scrolling and flowers would be too much. Maybe just less scrolling, more space between the scrolling designs, like more room that shows the plain white frosting? Then you could do the red roses too.

I voted for the top pair, but I like it just the way it is (without the flowers).

considering your theme and the colors and the overall feel/mood of the reception, i''d go with the scroll work cake (top pair) but i wouldnt add flowers. too busy. the cake alone will be the right touch.

you did a good job putting all of it together. everything looks really nice. :-)

I voted for the second pair... love the monogram and hexagon/octagon shape and simple details. Flowers will really pop off of this. So elegant looking to match everything else!

I like the brown scroll one, but not with flowers... it will be WAAAAAAAY too busy.

My $0.02: You need to decide which detail you like more and want to be the main focus... decoration or flowers. If you want decoration, go with the brown cake with limited flowers, like in the picture. If you want more focus on the flowers, i would go with the second option.
 
I voted pair #1. Maybe tone down the brown scrolls and keep all the flowers... You could do the brown scrolls just on the vertical surfaces of the cake, like a ribbon around each tier.

Coming from my cake-decorating friend, the bane of cake bakers. From personal experience trying to eat it, it tastes gross and feels like you''re eating play-doh. It''s a stiff pliable "frosting" that looks beautiful but tastes terrible.

"There is also an uncooked version of fondant that comes out with a matte finish, rather than shiny, and relies on pounds and pounds of raw confectioner’s sugar, which renders it inedible (oops, did we let our opinion creep in? Sorry). This uncooked fondant is made with gelatin, glucose, glycerin, and the powdered sugar. This fondant is primarily used for covering cakes, and it really looks stunning, but if your mouth believes what your eyes tell it, it will be sorely disappointed."

To use fondant, the bakers have to frost the cake with buttercream or other frosting first, then roll out the fondant into the desired shape and size, lay it on top of the frosted cake, and smooth it out, shape it, etc. Looks great, but don''t try to eat it - peel it off first.

I really like the brown scroll cake, but agree that the additional flowers on it would be too busy.
 
I like the left one of the bottom pair. But I do not care the flower''s. I like the swirl one a friend got married in Montana and had a cowboy wedding it was very cute but kinda casual.
 
I voted bottom pair. I do love the scrolling, but I think if you do flowers AND scrolling there might be too much going on.

I love the shape of the second cake, and the simple elegance of that cake with those flowers...i love it!
