Now that I know it is coming within the next 3 weeks, or, er, I certainly hope it is, I cannot stop thinking about it.
I swear, last night we went to dinner and I thought he was going to do it. I am pretty sure he picked up the ring this week. So when we went to dinner, he was wearing these shorts with cargo pockets (it was casual) and afterwards we were walking around a bit before it started to rain...and he was behaving so strangely. He kept reaching into his cargo pocket every so often and it was odd because he never puts his hands in his pockets or anything.
I went to grab his hand, just to hold hands as we were strolling, and he was sooooooo tense. But then he spotted a cab and it was drizzling and we just went home.
Also, he is usually a slob and throws his clothes on a chair or the couch or the floor, so this morning I was looking for his shorts, but he had put them away, which is so odd because his t-shirt was thrown on the chair. Hmmmm..
Reading into everything of course. LOL.
And now today we are going away to the beach and coming back tomorrow night to drive straight to his parent''s house to see his sister who gets in tomorrow morning and is only here till Sunday so I am hoping he will do it tonight or tomorrow afternoon. AHHHHHHHHHHH....
Either that, or he said to me that he wants to take me out the night before my birthday and have dinner just the two of us - but that is in 3 weeks!!! And, here is where I get unreasonably bratty again, but I could express it to all of you, I don''t want him to propose the night before my birthday and turn the celebration of my turning the big 3-0 into an engagement party. I actually want to celebrate with my friends that I am happy to move into the new decade, not have it be a "oh thank god you are engaged to wipe the sting off your age party".
Any ideas of how I could get that across to him if this is what he is planning?
