I have been wanting a pair of VC Onyx Alhambra earrings for years- every time i see a pre owned pair that seems authentic at a good price, i either have no money or they are snatched up.

If anyone is selling theirs/ know of anyone who wants to sell theirs/ or stumbles across some online- let me know! The ones I am finding now are only a few hundred less than list, but I have seen them come for much better prices here and there. Looking to spend 3000 or less for the classic vintage, or 4000 or less for the bigger Magic pair.

thanks!!

I'd love some, too! But I only see them close to retail, and in that case, I'd rather have new ones. I hate the pricing, I really do.

i know DS, it kills me! I am in the process of negotiating with someone on ebay who specializes in signed pieces to try and get the price down but it's still just a 10% discount off new. But I JUST bought several other small pieces so will have to sell all of those plus more if I can make it work...

Meanwhile my cousin just went to London, and with the exchange rate being so much lower and getting VAT back, she got the Magic extra long multi color necklace...for the bargain price of 19K instead of 24K. Sigh.

Goodness! It sounds like it would be worth a trip to London to buy it! Your cousin was very fortunate!

i was actually going to make a community post in diamond hangout- because of the exchange rate and getting VAT back, you can currently shop on the Harrods website and get designer bags and shoes for CRAZY discounts! Purchases need to be under 1K USD in order to avoid paying the incoming duty, but it's crazy. For example, a valentino clutch that is 1200 in stores here currently you can get for 680! If only I wasn't trying to sell stuff to get my earrings, i would buy half the website ;)

Hmmm, don't you have anyone in GB or the EU who could buy them for you? Receive the package when you order via cc + internet/phone? This has often worked for me and surprisingly well (mostly the other way- orders in the US when I am in Europe...).

Or someone who's travelling/ stopping over soon? If they get something for themselves, they'll have to go through the tax free process anyway... if not, it's a big favour to ask. But friends and family are mostly aware of my little jewelry "problem", so usually helpful... :naughty:

Hi Kipari! I do have some friends visiting who would be willing to get them for me- i just need to raise the funds first :naughty: :naughty:
