Wanted to share my joy!

I am so excited and filled with joy, one of my good friends just got engaged yesterday!

There is a group of us girls who have been dating their SO for at least 3 1/2 years or more and it was always a joke on who would be the first and now we know!

I was wondering when that first person got engaged how i would feel because i have been dating my SO the longest at 5 years and if i would feel hurt or sad by it because some LIW have expressed those feelings on here when their friends get enaged before them.. but NOPE i am happy as can be for them and and not an ouce of resentment or sadness. I love them both and they make a wonderful couple.

i am just so excited!!!!

Also her ring sounds beautiful, i will post a picture once i get it. It is a 1.02 princess cut with one round on each side for a total carat weight of 1.8.

Hey beanie - good for you being able to share in their happiness while knowing that your time will come too! I''m always the crazy friend who does a happy dance when her friends get engaged. I think the staff at the local Hallmark store know me as the engagement cardaholic because I am always sending off congratulation cards!

It''s great that the group is so supportive of each other! There''s really nothing worse I can imagine than telling a friend you are engaged and watching them react with hurt. Sometimes you really have to think about how your reactions impact the other people involved!

Keepingthefaith~ funny at my lunch hour i did run to target to get them a card, i dont have their new address yet so i am waiting back to hear from her sister.
PLUS thanks for the extra dust perhaps it will happen sooner than later.. but right now i will just keep smiling for my friend!

Like i said i wasnt sure how i would feel but i am glad that i am feeling the way i do because it makes me feel good and if you could meet this couple, you would most certainly see why i would be so thrilled.

I know it is hard if someone gets engaged before you and i know sometimes ladies think other people are stealing their thunder, but when that time comes for me i dont want people to feel that way about my engagement or happiness so there just isnt any need for that envy or sadness towards others. My time will come soon, so i might as well soak up others enjoyment along the way!
