Wondering if theres a good way for me to tell how yellow a stone will be by the online videos? I’m considering some warmer colors but don’t want the stone to really ‘look’ yellow.

The setting will be 14 or 18k yellow gold solitaire. Thanks for any thoughts!

No
You will see color in klm color stones.
Big ones more than small ones.
Well cut ones may hide it in some lighting but other lighting will show it.

None of these are super well cut. What size are you looking for, and what is your budget? You will definitely see color in KLM stones

Will the diamond live outside or will you bring it in the house?
I have two stepcuts, a K & an L with fluor, like the stones you're looking at. In any natural light they're super white but indoors you can see the warmth. I don't mind, I rather like the shift, but you might not.

Even if super ideal you will most definitely see, and especially in those sizes.
I recommend you go down in size and go up in color.
I had a 3.29ct round in an I color and the tint drove me crazy. And you are talking KLM.
If you are concerned at this point you need to rethink your plan because I don’t think you will be happy.

Piffle. Set it in 22 kt yellow and no one will notice the yellow at all. Assuming the diamond is well cut of course...
I agree going with that metal choice will surely make a difference (altho I still feel strongly about this). Great suggestion, thank you for offering that.
On a lighter note, I love “piffle”!

If you mean not look like the color yellow, then setting it in yellow gold will eliminate the contrast and a K at least won’t look like a yellow diamond. It will look like a warm white except occasionally in yellow lighting it will look a little golden. You might see a tinge of yellow from the side. Eliminate the side view and you will see even less warmth. Ideal cut + bezel set in yellow gold with no side view = not going to look like a yellow diamond.

I do not have experience with L or M.

If you mean never ever see any yellow tint, even from the side, then you will have to go up in color.

Caveat is that if you are getting it for someone else and they have expressed a desire for icy white, then a lower color might disappoint.

I can't speak for lower color MRB cut stones. I have M color AVC's in a three stone setting in yellow gold. Do they look "yellow"? Not to me. Do they look "white"? Not to me. They look warm, mellow, soft, but pretty and you can definitely see the tint. But again, my stones are cut in an antique style and I'm not sure what an MRB would look like if it were an M set in yellow gold. Here's a photo. For reference, the gold is DK's 14k antique yellow.

I am sitting here with a happy glint in my eye that you love one of my favorite expletives, and one that I can utter in public. ;)2

My 1.53 ct. P is half bezel set in 22 kt yellow gold. Even professionals have guessed its color in the G-H-I range and rarely as low as I.

I will admit, I was disappointed in my P when it was finished and graded. It was supposed to be a Q... That darn precision cutting ruined my expected color grade.

That's an M modern rb diamond. It started as 1.12 ct and was recut to H&A by Brian Gavin and is now somewhere between 1 and 1.1 ct. A larger stone like a 2 or 3 carat is going to concentrate the tint even more than this 1 ct does. Eyesight and color sensitivity vary, but L and M are always a pale yellow to me. And I color is an ivory white. This stone faces up very white after the recut, but it's always a pale yellow. I would never mistake it for a G or H. It's a beautiful pale yellow and I really like it. But if you want colorless, H or I is probably the cutoff. I am very color-aware now after I had cataract surgery.
