Mine was supposed to come in today.
I''ve been teaching class with my phone in my pocket on vibrate, because I keep anticipating the call.
But now I''m starting to think more realistically, and realizing that it might be late.

It seems that so many of you had your dress come in early. Did anyone''s arrive on the date?
I''m like a kid at Christmas today.

Mine was actually about 3 weeks late. It got held up in customs because they were so backed up. Wasnt really a problem other than my alterations werent done for my portrait... luckily a big clothes pin did the trick as i didnt need hemming.

3 weeks late. Wow, I''m glad that it didn''t end up being too big of a problem.
3 months late wouldln''t really be a problem for me (since the wedding isn''t until
July,) I just WANT it!
I guess I should be prepared for not getting the call.
I don''t know why I thought for sure that I would.
I guess that little post card in the mail got ,me a bit too excited.

Aww, Tybee, I hope it comes in today! I know it wouldn''t really pose a problem if it were a bit late, but how exciting would it be to try on your dress soon!?

LOL,
Seriously,
I''m such a goober with my phone in my pocket waiting! ha ha ha!
YOu all will be the second to know if it comes in.

My dress came in early (I ordered late September, got it in 6 weeks), however I ordered BM dress and it''s taking its own sweet time. Wedding isn''t until March.

My dress was super early but I ordered it when there were NO holidays. With Thanksgiving, New Years and Christmas upon us, the mail system has slowed down to a crawl... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if your dress is a little late. So sorry.

Mines came early and I became depressed for a while because I thought that maybe I had been to quick choosing a gown. Anyway, I''m over the depression and am glad that it''s out of the way.

Mine came in a month early. THe saleslady told me that if your dress is due to come in around the holidays, usually one of two things happen, you get your dress early beacuase they try to finish dresses before the holiday rush, OR you get it late because it got stuck in the holiday rush. No worries Tybee, your gorgeous dress will be in your hot little hands before you know it!

Oh the anticipation!!!!

I have a feeling my BM''s dresses are in the same black hole as your wedding gown, Tybee! My wedding gown was done in less time than it''s taking the BM dresses, it came in about half the time they said it would.

Tybee, don''t worry, especially since your wedding isn''t until July!

But I''m in your shoes too...kind of

I ordered my dress in the middle of July, and it still hasn''t arrived. But they did say it would take around five to six months, so really, I have another month to wait until the six month line. I figure I will give them until the end of January, and then I am calling to make sure everything is okay. But from what I heard, my designer (Henry Roth) takes about six months at least, so I''m not worrying too much right now

OMG Tybee, I feel your pain and then some. I''ve been waiting anxiously because mine was supposed to be in before Christmas/Chanukah, but I called my dress shop on Tuesday and I just heard back from them and apparently the company made the dress but it had some flaws, so it didn''t pass quality control so they have to make a whole new dress and it now isn''t expected to ship until near the end of February

I know this shouldn''t upset me so much, but it was sort of the one thing I was looking forward to between now and then, because I''ve been working super-hard because I have my qualifying exams coming up and it was going to be my one "treat" between now and then

Anyway, I hope this doesn''t happen with your dress!

AmberGretchen,

So sorry to hear about your dress! That really stinks. It''s nice to know that they checked it carefully, though (right

?) That''s the best I can do for a silver lining.

My silver lining is that I was really just too bloated today to try it on anyhow. I''m one of those women who goes up
a whole cup-size during PMS.

Perhaps when my dress does arrive my hoohas will be more realistic

Tybee - you are right, I probably would have cried if it had come in messed up, so I guess its better this than that, but its still so disappointing

Wow - a whole cup size! I bet your FI is a fan

Seriously though, if I went up a cup size I think I would scream (umm, yes, that would put me at a 34ddd - the dd''s are bad enough

Way to go on finding your own silver lining though - that''s the kind of attitude I''m working to achieve right now...

..........................hoohas!!!

Mine was a month and half late

but my bridesmaid dresses were 2 months early.

mine was early... but I wouldn''t worry, you have plenty of time.. I guess it''s just disappointing when you''ve been waiting!!

AG I''m so sorry to hear about your dress but I agree, I''d be super sad if it came in flawed.
