About 75 miles from Los Angeles in the mountains near Big Bear Lake a Bald Eagle pair built a nest high in a pine tree.
Before the eggs were laid, qualified officials installed a camera to monitor and broadcast the family live on their website 24/7.
A couple days back the last of the 3 eggs hatched.
At night mom keeps them warm you won't see the eaglets .
But during the day and you may not have to wait too long to see the chicks, and maybe watch them being fed by mom and dad.
At night (now) it looks like they put a light over the nest, which you'd think would disturb the birds.
But the light is IR, infrared, which humans and eagles can't see.
The infrared camera can "see" it just fine ... but it just displays in black and white.
During the day they turn the IR light off, and switch the camera to daylight setting, and the color is beautiful.
This pic is a screenshot from today's video.

Enjoy link below (which for some reason now shows "One moment please ..." in blue - but still works as a link.
Then scroll down to see the two live cams.
Below is a screen capture of their webpage.

The upper camera (1) is a close up of the nest.
Right now it's snowing and very windy.
Mom has her wings spread out to protect the 3 little ones from the freezing wind.
That white stuff on her back is snow that's starting to fall for a major storm tonight.

The lower camera (2) is a wide view.
The nest is in the lit up treetop near the upper left corner.

Check these cameras tomorrow morning and there will be lots of snow.
