Hey Everyone,
I finally proposed last night to my girlfriend, Cecely. I started off our with a large boutique of flowers delivered to her apartment. There was a note in the boutique that said to meet me at my apartment at 8PM and to come dressed. So then we go to the Compass restaruant in downtown Phoenix. It''s a wonderful restraruant that rotates so you can see the entire city. After dinner, I drove her to south mountain park. I called the park ranger a few days before and he told me that the park closed at 10:30PM. We arrived at the entrance at south mountain park around 10:20PM and the gate was closed
. I tried to ask the security guard to let us in, but he refused. Now seeing how disappointed I was that we couldn''t get into the park, Cecely was starting to figure out what was going on. Anyway, so now I''m thinking to myself what am I going to do now. I remember I saw a huge lighted umbrella in downtown Phoenix. We drive over to the umbrella and it ends up being a outdoor music amphitheature. So we get out of the car and I proceed to carry her over to the center of the stage. Now I''m thinking the center stage is the best spot, but there were a few homeless people sleeping on the stage. Then I see a garden area so I carry her over there. I let her down and I figure by this time she is really cold, so I give her my suit jacket. Then I mention that we should take some pictures of the place and that my camera is in my suit jacket. She reaches into my jacket and instead of the camera, she pulls out the ring box and I get down on one knee and propose
. I actually don''t remember half of what I said because I was nervous and tearing up with happiness at the same time. She remembers all of it though. She was crying while I was proposing. Now she stares at the ring every 2 seconds
