We got a ring...hee hee...

This is it, except "mine" is platinum. I wanted a 3/4 carat but the salesman brought out a lovely near perfect (to me at least) .91 carat in addition to a .73 carat stone, and I just liked the .91 carat better. It''s D and VS1 I think...the .71 was a F I think, and a VS2. Bf was much more concerned about the stone, I was much more concerned about the setting, hee hee. Up until seeing this one I''d wanted a simple platinum band solitare, and this is the only ring with side diamonds I''ve seen to date that I liked. He wasn''t going to buy it, but then decided it''d be hard to get back there without me knowing anyway, so he bought it. We went back and they''d sold the setting though! Otherwise we may have been able to pick it up yesterday. So it''ll be in within two weeks, then the waiting begins.

I told him the night before we went that I''d probably be testy if we went ring shopping (I hadn''t expected to buy anything) and I had to wait six months. After we left the store he asked me how long he had until testy...I said a month, he said two, I said until we leave for Korea. Then you get hardcore testy. He laughed, but said that was fine. So, a little less than two months! We also did a carriage ride through Philly, which was cool. He''s awesome though, I wish I could convince him that he doesn''t have to have this whole elaborate plan, that I''ll be happy without it, but at the same time, I''m excited to see what he''s going to do.

beautiful!!! and I love the story about getting testy! I think that''s probably why my boyfriend won''t agree to go ring shopping with me until after he proposes because he really won''t give me a timeframe at all... just says he wants it to be a surprise, but he IS in the same place as me... he says. Um yeah, if he was then it would already be on my finger!

I hope he doesn''t make you wait too long for that beauty, but give him his chance to surprise you. It''s really the only one he''ll get.

Thanks! The hard part is going to be acting normal once he''s got it. But his friend told me that he told her he has an idea of what he''s going to do, so that''s good. They''re taking a trip to their college this weekend, so she''ll probably grill him for details and hopefully offer advice, lol. (And push him to do it sooner rather than later!) She was mad that he bought a ring without telling her he was even considering it...but she was the first to know we were even thinking of it, so that helped her get over it faster

My bf is so cute, telling all of his friends. I think he called them ALL last night and told them to get on AIM. That drove them all nuts since they wanted him to just tell them what was up on the phone, but I think he was trying to keep the line clear incase his bestest friend called back. Plus that way he could send them a pic!

do you know what, i took horseback riding class a couple of years ago and the horse I rode was named "Jigger" and he looked like the horse in your avator...that''s not the horse''s name, is it??

Yep, it''s my horse''s name, his name is Jester Jigger...so I doubt it was him that you took lessons on, but it could have been a relative of his.


I asked my bf if I could try the ring on once it''s done, but he said no.

That everything from here on out is a SECRET.

But that''s ok. He suggested a trip to NYC (we live in NJ) so I can see lots of possiblities for during that time...too bad it''s a month away!!!
