So I''ve been excited about our upcoming wedding in a little over 2 months. Invites got here, dresses here, stamps, even went trough all the Catholic church prep, etc...

And then today we did the ceremony music.

Ok- now I feel like a bride. Whoa.

Did this happy to anyone else?

Let me share a few of the songs:
Edelweiss- prelude
Londonderry Air- prelude (say that fast...i busted up laughing so it was a must)
Canon in D- processional
- I''m walking in to Jesu, Joy of Man''s Desiring
Recessional- Trumpet Voluntary.

Lots of others in there as it is a full Catholic mass- but that would bore you.

But my FAVORITE- its in the prelude- its FAITHFULLY- on piano- if you know the band Journey, you know this song. Our music director kind of played it as a joke, but my FI looked at each other and said, "could you possibly play that for us!?!?!" and he agreed. Too bad I won''t get to watch our friends/guests react!

Wow! Congrats!! I''m so nervous about picking music for the ceremony...I have absolutely no idea what I''ll do!!

Very fun!

If you don''t mind, I am planning a full catholic mass, too, and would love to hear your song selections!!

LOVE that you are playing Journey - that''s awesome! We''re big Journey fans, too! Always good for a sing-a-long.

Great choices! Edelweiss and Londonderry Air are personal favorites of mine. And congrats on feeling like a bride

At every little step I am feeling more and more like a bride, especially when we had decided which songs to play throughout the day.

However, then my harddrive crashed, and wiped my itunes and entire music library and playlist selection, so I am kind back at square one with that task.

oh, honey, sorry to hear about your hard drive crashing

@ ROL- Are you getting married in a church? There are a ton of websites with ideas, and some of have samples. Our music director actually just sat at the piano playing samples while we ranked and decided where to put each one. Maybe they can play something from Bret Michaels or Poison :) THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

@LeeNY- I''ll get you that list!!

@Winslet- Thank you!! Its so exciting!

@faye- Great day! Where are you getting married??

@honey- my house was robbed about 4 months ago, and one of the many items they stole was our computer...along with 3000 songs. Unfortunately, ours were all old pirated music, so we couldn''t get any back, but if they are from i-tunes or the like, they may replace them- check into it! but i totally can sympathize with you- i didn''t realize how much stuff we had on that computer...like our entire wedding budget, engagement pics (that we found another copy of THANK GOD!) and stuff like that. boooooo!

yay!!!

i''m so sorry to hear that your house got robbed, but i''m glad you saved a copy of your e-photos

FI and i initially wanted to get married at FI''s family church, but they were giving us trouble because i''m not catholic, there were no other churches that carried the same sentiment so we are getting married at a winery instead

I am a naughty girl too, it''s all music from other friends or questionable sources on the internet. I havn''t actually paid for any of it, so I guess that is a blessing.

It crashed just after I had finished writing our vows, that tooks us MONTHS to get perfect! I was nearly sick when I realised I hadn''t printed the final copy, but as fate had it, I had just finished emailing it to my celebrant for checking LITERALLY five minutes before the thing packed it in. I couldn''t believe it!

We bought a new hard drive yesterday and I am currently installing all my programs. Most of my stuff has been backed up onto a portable drive (just in case, phew!) so I havn''t really lost that much besides my itunes, which I spent the last few weeks reloading cos I accidently erased it a few weeks ago!

I swear I am cursed!!! Anyhoo, I will make sure I back everything up every couple of days, especially with only a few months to go until the wedding. I don''t know what I would have done if I had lost it a few days before hand. We are doing our own music for the whole wedding, so I need to be more diligent with my backups! Lesson learnt!!!!

Sorry to hear that your house was robbed! What bas***ds!!
