I love how they make such a big deal out of the fact that THIS ring is being bough by Kevin. Umm? Has Kevin actually WORKED since last year? Any money he has made (pimping, I mean selling photos of him, Brit, and daughter to People for a reputed $1mil, "exec-producing"-ahem-their reality show) this year is still a by-product of his relationship with Britney, so it''s really not that different from the OTHER 5 carat ring she bought for herself!!! Anyway.

The real reason? The redbull/cheetos diet, combined w/ pregnancy made her other ring not fit anymore.

I think they said it was round in a traditional solitaire setting, or something. I have to say, Britney''s taste in her original e-ring (cushion, split-shank, micro-pave) was surprisingly lovely and tasteful for her! Hope a bigger pic of the new one is printed.

So when is the man paying for the woman''s engagement ring a huge gesture? As far as I''m concerned, Britney should have just waited all this time for big Kev to cough up the ring and never paid for it herself in the first place. Geez, Hollywood!
 
Hmmmmmmm - it doesn''t look round from the picture, but I can hardly see anything in the picture!!!

I tried doing a Google search for any other sites with pics of the new ring - didn''t see anything. I think blue''s got the right idea - I bet the old one doesn''t fit anymore! But I''d take ANOTHER 5+ ct ring (or was the first one 4 cts...I thought it was 5) for ANY reason.

I think the picture is of her old cushion ring, which explains why it doesn''t look round.
 
Yeah... they say its round.. but I blew it up on my screen.. and its still really hard to make out.. but I''m not even convinced that its a DIAMOND. It looks like a thick band. with SOMETHING on it.. but it looks like metal.

Well I attached the pic.. but then I just re-read the article.. and that picture is not even of the new ring.. It says the new ring is still being made and the caption says "britney wearing her current ring".. so the pic is not of any interest anyways.

Anybody watch the OC? In a season 2 ep, Kirsten "loses" her rings, and that leads to a convo about how she got her 2-carat ring: Sandy proposed with a gumball ring, which she wore for years, until he had saved up to buy her the ring.

I''d rather that than buy my own, or my husband spend "my" money on a second ring! It would have far more meaning

hmm i am confused, in my US weekly it showed her holding a 1000 calorie drink with her ring hand it had a huge round on it. i noticed that was not her current cushion with split pave band..and thought maybe her hand had swollen up so much she was not able to wear her original ring?

but now this article, how odd to buy her a whole new ring? chances are it was with their show income, as the US weekly also showed the new ferrari KFed bought with that $$ too.
