I''ve been invited to my second cousins wedding Oct 7. The wedding is at a farm, and my mom remembers the cousin talking about working on a barn, so we think the reception will be in it. Invitation reads "dress comfortably and for the weather, informal and casual attire are fine, ladies should skip the stilletos" (or something like that).

So, what would you wear? I was thinking black pants (linen?), espadrille shoes (wedge heel), and a nice sweater (or shirt if its warm) with some sparkly jewelry and a dressy purse. Sound ok?

I am no expert on these things, but sounds like they may be planning a barn reception since they request no high heels. Have you heard if the bride and groom are planning a casual "western" wedding? Might be something you might want to look into, incase you want to go with their trend...just a thot.
But what you suggested sounds fine, as long as your wedged heels aren''t too high and uncomfortable ( incase they have uneven floor boards and you won''t twist an ankle ). Sounds good to me :D
