Okay, I have the standard Tiffany knife edge setting for my e-ring, and I just bought the matching band. But I''m not sure I like it. I always envisioned myself with a traditional round band gold wedding ring, something around 4mm. When I was in Tiffany last night I didn''t like the gap caused by the knife edge on my e-ring, and the matching band looked the best. But now I''m having second thoughts, because the thing is so thin and I don''t like how it looks alone. I''ll be wearing it as a combo with my e-ring most of the time but I will probably wear it alone if doing something active, so I would like it to look good solo. I can''t really go back there easily, because the closest store is almost three hours away. My fiancee is picking up my e-ring when it is done and so I could have him exchange the wedding band when he gets it. But I don''t think I''ll be back anytime soon on my own to check things out. I don''t want anything set with diamonds, except I''m curious as to how this one might look:

I want to get it at Tiffany to match my eRing, because there is a difference between the look of Tiffany gold and regular gold. I would like to keep it simple. Any pictures of a similar combo or suggestions? I went through the forums and saw this problem addressed here and elsewhere, but most people ended up going with a diamond band and none of the information has helped me make a decision. Thanks for your help!

Hi Hazlestone

That is a nice looking wedding band from Tif.

As you mentioned in your post, you do not like the spacing between the ER and the wedding band. Perhaps the solution is the wedding band to have a "beveled" edge to it. I am showing you this picture of my wife''s wedding band, I know you do not want diamonds in it, but just show it to you for the design of the edge of the wedding band, it fits "snug" against the ER.
However, I do not remember seeing a Tif wedding band with this edge to it, I may be wrong.

Another picture, the bezeled side fits snug against the prongs of the solataire setting.

That is the band I bought, but it is really thin. I like your idea, but I don''t think Tiff has anything like that. :P

I'm not sure that the six prong knife edge setting from Tiffany's will sit completely flush with anything. The base of the prongs stick out beyond the band. In all honesty, if it was the classic Tiffany look that you liked, I think the matching knife edge band is the perfect compliment. I know that it is thin and that on it's own it might not look quite right. You could - later on down the road - like for an anniversary or something - get a diamond semi or full eternity band to wear when you didn't want to wear your wedding set.

I know this is not what you want to hear but I'm afraid it's the way it is. There are several folks here who have the Tiffany setting and either the shared prong eternity band or the channel set band that look very nice with the ering but I still believe there is a slight gap.

Many people have coveted the classic look of the Tiffany ering and wedding band - they would think you are very lucky to have both!

You gotta admit - it's beautiful! http://www.tiffany.com/Engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10002#f+3/0/0/0/0/0 This allows you to see the knife edge band, the shared prong and the channel set with the ring.

I don''t recall anything that doesn''t create a gap except the knife edge when I''ve tried on that set. If it has to be Tiffany then your options are limited.

Thanks. I have been wearing it by itself this past day, and it is starting to grow on me a little. It is very delicate, and although my hands are not very delicate it isn''t a terrible look. And it does look really good with the ering.

I''ll probably have to go in again to take a look, but has anyone seen this? It looks like it may be three knife-edge rings together, or at least that is what the picture looks like. I wonder if it would have the same effect as the knife edge in its matching up to the edge of the ering but more weight to it when worn alone? Anyone have experience with this "three-row band ring?"
