So I have a spinal e-ring Halo that is a stuller mount. I hate the E-ring that goes with it as it goes around the Halo and I am wanting something to go underneath the halo and around the basket.

So. I am thinking on buying a plain band that I like and see if a gold smith can cut a slit in it and braze them together. So they are attached against the curve. If that makes sense. Instead of getting a band custom made to go around the basket.

Is this idea totally ridiculous? Or should I just suck it up and pay to get a band custom made.

I have attached some pictures of my ring so you get a better idea what I am talking about. 10896837_10155153234135707_2590414275534047389_n.jpg

Thanks guys and gals :)

Thanks guys and gals :)

You could also get a ring guard that fits your halo perfectly (two bands that fit around it).

Can we see a shot of your ring face on?

Sure, here is a picture of the ring face up. img_8784.jpg

Hmm, what does your current band look like, because I'm not sure I understand what you dislike, and what you actually want.

Do you want a straight band to go under the halo?

Is there a half-circle on each side of the band, on the shank, under the halo? In other words, does the shank of the ring make a donut shape under your halo?

Does the matching band go around the donut? Is it shaped like this (the semi circle should be smaller because the donut on your ring looks smaller):

Yes, a straight band to go underneath the Halo. Like this picture. >>>>>il_340x270_3.jpg
This is what I don't want icm_fullxfull_45.jpg

Hope that is more helpful for you :)

Oh, you could do that if the band is relatively thin and flat enough. I think it's do-able, and you should be able to find a band without it being custom.

Thanks for the help. Wish me luck for when I go see a goldsmith. Hopefully they don't look at me like I am crazy or try and persuade me to just get one custom made. Ha ha

Yes, and no. If I could find a band that could fit with my ring then I would so get one like that, but I am having no luck what so ever getting on that fits with my e-ring.

So I want something like that, but without the curved part-if that makes sense.
