Hi all! I am looking for wedding band advice, since my e-ring is much wider than I originally expected.
Link to my e-ring here:
I feel like it "eats" my finger a little bit, but I do want a wedding band of some kind. My guess is that the e-ring itself is like 6-7mm, but can't find my calipers to confirm.

I would need to keep my e-ring at 3.5mm or less, and even 3.5mm would likely be pushing it.

Pic of my e-ring with a 2mm (approx) VC band just to show relative size.

Here are the 3 options I'm considering:

1. A customized version of this "lace" band by Michael B. I would want a few changes: rounder profile, milgrain, and diamonds placed so that a milgrain outline would have a floral look.

2. A tri-color "woven" band. I've liked these for a long time, but am afraid that at the size I need (3mm) the 3 colors and "weaving" won't be visually impactful.

3. A take on this kataoka band, but RB cuts (not rose cut and not double sided), with more diamond "Stations" around the band, but each individual diamond potentially smaller. My worry about this option is that with the stones being off center from the band itself it will be wider than the width of the band itself, so very likely over 3mm. I might have to scrap this idea given those considerations, but including it anyway.

4. Something else (please expand in comments!)

EDIT. I'd also love to hear people's opinion on metal color (white vs yellow gold) for the band. I'll take a pic with a white band I have for reference and include it below.

Just IMHO the lace band might compliment your ring best.

I like the first option. Also, I'm not sure what traditions are, but I think it might look better above the ring rather than below (not sure which direction is which with rings, but closer to your fingertip)

What about another Van Craeynest band? I'm loving the look of the one you posted with your e-ring.

I think it looks divine on its own! I know that’s not a polling choice, sorry. That is an all in one, stand on it’s own ring! I love the width, high polish and clean lines. Really makes a statement. Adding another ring throws it off imo.

Tough situation as you have two gorgeous rings! I too love the wide band on its own for the aesthetic and for the comfort. I guess I thought the Octavia ring would be considered as your wedding band. Would you consider moving the wide band to your right hand and wearing the Octavia as the wedding band on your left? Or consider the wide band as your wedding ring as it was the wedding ring of those that wore it before you? Then the Octavia might be considered your ering and could be moved to the right hand? If you keep the wide ring as your engagement ring and want a wedding band, it will need to be very narrow to keep it comfortable. A very thin version of the lace band or maybe a very thin prong set diamond band would work as long as it would be comfortable. We all know we tend not to wear those things that aren’t comfortable so just throwing that out there. You do have a beautiful dilemma though!!!

Have you thought about a thin diamond eternity?

I had a ring like yours when I was first married in the late 70's. It was an 8 mm gold band with the single diamond mounted on top. I wore it on my left hand and didn't wear a wedding band. I don't have it anymore, but thinking about it, I think a thin diamond eternity would have worked with it.

I like the lace band the best but also think a thin eternity band would look nice as well. I do think it looks beautiful on its own if you decide to go that way.

I wouldn’t pair another band with your ering. I’d just get a thinner wb to wear when I don’t want such a wide band.

Agree with the thin diamond eternity band.
