So I know Ive been rather transparent the last few months a lot was up in the air about the wedding we almost had a destination wedding. had family issues, and so on! BUT out of all that we FINALIZED a new wedding date and booked our venue, caterer, got the invitations, changed my bridesmaids, Music and the cake...
As for the date we are now to be wed on December 22, 2007
Our venue will be at the Soledad Club in La Jolla/ pacific beach. It will be a semi formal wedding with a kind of country family feel! We will have our ceremony on the lawn of the club with the awesome view of San Diego in the background. were going to decorate the reception hall with white lights and candles, very few flowers, were trying to steer clear of the x-mas feel .Our colors are lt. blue, white, and a hint of rubber ducky yellow.
We got an awesome deal on catering! were having:
BB-Q chicken,
Garlic mashed potaters
Mixed vegetables
Classic Cesar salad
Fruit
Bread rolls
coffee, lemonade, beer, tea,sodas champagne etc;
As for the invitations:
we got them from Target for only $7.00! I love there sales!
Our invites They have a platinum embossed border and instead of the white ribbon a lt. blue one will replace it.
I changed my bridesmaids because my MOH would never get back to me due to being too overwhelmed with life and I knew someone else deserved it more than her. I went from having 4 BMs to only two. My cousin and my FIs sister were my other two BMs but they had to bow out because there coming long distance and school is in the way. So now my BMs are:
My sister
and Vanessa the NEW MOH shes the best mans Girlfriend and one the most reliable, fun, and enjoyable people to be around! and I know on the day of the wedding she will keep me as calm as can be.
As for music one of the groomsmen is a Dj yeah!! for a free dj!
ANND instead of a traditional cake were having home made apple pie! best of all the pie will be displayed like cake in tiers. Why are we doing this?? well other than wanting to be different.. the groom loves apple pie as do I, I''m not much of a frosting fan and in the end who doesn''t like a nice slice of warm apple pie? Also by doing this we saved about
$300.00
Well all thats left thats major is the photographer, pastor and chair rentals oh and finding those darn BMs dresses that match my gown.......
Sorry for being such a rambler but I was so excited to share all of this with you!
